A Lingenfelter Stage III would have some serious horsepower because that is some serious mods the guy had. If you did even minor mods to your SRT 10 you probably would have equaled or beat him.

Hans,
Maybe we can make it a three way phone call and we can both pi$$ and moan at him at the same time!!
If this keeps up we'll get ours about the same time the '03s started being delivered!
My wife is itching to redo our kitchen and master bathtroom. I hope I can place my order soon so the...
I am waiting for my 2004 order to be placed. The mighty Bill P. will take care of it as soon as he can. Right Hans?
I am used to the Chevy model year timetable. There have been '04 Corvettes on the lot of a couple weeks now.
I'll just hold my horses. I just bought a new house and made sure I...
There have been so many car designs that it would be hard to design something original that didn't resemble something else that had already been penned in one way or another.
I owned an S2000 and IMO there are few similarities between the two.
The fit and finish of the piece looked a bit cheesy to me. I'm sure it works, but this product doesn't look well integrated into the cockpit of the car, especially an $80,000 car.
I had something similar in an S2000, and it helped a lot. It was factory, though.
Hans: You must be the first person in line for an '04, because you had your deposit with Woodhouse much earlier than mine. I'm number #2, per the mighty Bill P.
I forgot about the MGW oil cap. That is on my list also. I have a V1. Saved me from tickets many times. I guess the trunk kit and...
I was out for a couple hours here in the north Atlanta 'burbs and I saw three within two hours. All Gen I and II. No SRT 10s.
Folks down here like their fancy cars. Corvettes are a dime a dozen in this area. You can see 20 C5s in a short while on the weekends around here.
While waiting to place my '04 order, I thought I might get some accessories to look at while I wait.
Anyone got a preference between the two MGW shift knobs? Both look great. Is one shorter than the other? The First Strike looks like it might be better for quick shifting. Which one feels more...
Toddh:
I could get mine done at my Chevy Dealership or any Goodyear store, as our Vettes have Goodyear EMTs. The tires are a bit harder to work with because of the firmer sidewall construction to hold the weight if the car in a no air pressure situation.
I'd call the Dodge Dealer where you...
I have had several nail holes patched in my runflats over the years. No different than any other tire, unless the hole is in the sidewall instead of the tread, then you are boned as with any other sidewall puncture.
For when you are in the car, I recommend the Smith and Wesson security system.
I have a nice hidden holster mount for my .45 located just above my right knee under the dash in the Corvette.
Vipers being the flashy cars they are, what is the theft rate for them? Less than more generic ones, I...
My other hobby is radio control nitro powered monster trucks. I buy and sell a lot on ebay related to these. Most of my experiences have been fine. Sometimes I sell used items for more than I paid for them new. The one thing I don't like about ebay is shipping the items.
VNMOUS:
You are not entirely correct.
If the defect involves a system that directly affects the driveability/safety issue of the vehicle (trans/brakes or the like), then the dealer gets one attempt to repair it. If they are not successful then the car will qualify for Lemon Status.
Other...
VNMOUS:
Certain issues are repairable and may be acceptable on a brand new car, but some are not. My 2001 ZO6 was part of the widespread oil consumption issue many 2000-2001 Corvettes had. It was apparently a piston ring problem with excessive flutter, so not all of the oil was scraped back...
George,
I cannot help you with an SRT 10 owner's name, but there were three SRT 10s for sale a couple days ago at Palmer Dodge, 11460 Alpharetta Highway, Roswell, Georgia 30076. Tel # 770 410 1111. This is on the north side of Atlanta.
I got to sit in one and check out the engine and the trunk...
Once again regarding the top photo: how can you use the trunk with the big rear window resting right on top of it just a few inches from the third brake light?
Do you have to put that up first (is it hinged?), then let the trunk up?
I prefer the second hardtop photo with the RT-10 style...
