When will Dodge begin accepting 2004 orders?

I have my place almost at the front of the line at Woodhouse for an '04. Thanks Bill P! Anyone know when I'll be able to place an "official" order? With Corvette, it was always right after the company wide GM 2 week shutdown, either the first 2 weeks of June or July. Dave

Who is driving the red RT 10 Venom 650 in Dunwoody, Georgia?

Hi Martin, I'll definetly say hey next time I see you. I take my son to school in my Vette sometimes, but I'm usually in a dark gray 2003 4Runner with some 20" chrome wheels. Thanks for checking in. Your ride is awsome. Dave

Who is driving the red RT 10 Venom 650 in Dunwoody, Georgia?

I've seen this vehicle twice in carpool at my son's pre-school off Tilly Mill Road in greater Atlanta. Male driver. I've tried twice to say hey, but you have to stay in line or the security guys get all geeked out. The owner got in and started it up and it sounds awsome. Incredible thunderumble...

Eagle One Wax As You Dry

If this is in the wrong forum, please forgive me. I didn't see a detailing related forum here. I have always used Meguire's paste wax. Never cared for Zaino, personally. Has anyone tried this product? Sure would save some elbow grease. You just spritz a couple times on each body panel after...

I installed a B & M Ripper shifter on my Vette and it is really nice. Haven't missed a shift in almost 2 years. Dave

    Changes for 2004?

Diffs that don't break. Windows that open and shut correctly when you shut the door. Valves that have all the proper machining done before they go in the engine. Did I miss anything? :D Dave

    SRT10 Update

Re: SRT10 Udate Cajun, Could you itemize the cost of the intake, headers, and exhaust? And how much was labor? Seems a tad expensive. Didn't they give you a break as your car was a test mule? My reference point is my '02 Corvette: Ram air, CNC port/polish the heads, Comp cams camshaft, moly...

Tire Hell and the "Tire Rack" and "Just Tires" saves the day....

Re: Tire Hell and the Bob, I had three holes in the same run flat on my 98 Vette, and a button patch will work great for the life of the tire in normal every day driving with some spirited romps included. I saw 150 in my car a couple times and 120 a lot more often and never had a problem with...

GAWWWWWWWWWD! The ones on ebay are only going for lower 80s, right? That dealer must think the economy is booming. Dave

    Extremely Disappointed

I went thru a first year model buyback with my 2001 ZO6. I know your pain. Seems they will take care of the issues, however. I think PVO has it all over Chevy. They handled the oil burning issue on the 2000-2001s very poorly IMO. It is VERY cool to have the first model year of the SRT 10...

Anyone ever thought they would be carjacked in their Viper?

I watched the corvetteforum boards for many months and never, ever heard anything but praise for Mike. Mike even arranged a "test ride" for me with another of his customers who had a similar package done who lived in my area. Dave

Anyone ever thought they would be carjacked in their Viper?

tattooed: I also learned from the Corvette boards that he is pretty good at extracting money from Corvette owner's wallets. One of the guys on this board who has a Viper and a ZO6 got about $20K taken from him for work not done on the ZO6. I don't know if he got the $ back or not. One Tuner I...

SRT-10 Gawk Factor (or lack thereof)

Women liking the styling of the SRT 10 in NO way makes it a chick car. It just means that more of them will come up and tell you they LIKE it!!!! :D Besides, why are certain models of cars considered chick cars? Because more women drive them than men. Do a poll and I'm sure you will find...

    Cost of insurance?

I was wondering if I will see a big jumnp in rates going from a 2002 Corvette to a 2004 Viper? Basically, I have my house and two other cars insured with my insurance carrier. I have a completely clean driving record. No tickets for 9 years. I get a multi-car discount. Has anyone been thru...

Anyone ever thought they would be carjacked in their Viper?

I have a kydex type holster (Fobus) mounted to one of the bolts that holds the dash in place that puts my 45 just above my right knee when I'm seated in the Driver seat. Easy to reach and near impossible to see unless you have your face in the footwell. Doesn't interfere with leg movement...

Anyone ever thought they would be carjacked in their Viper?

Just curious about this. There have been a few cases in my residential development (about 1500 homes) where thugs have followed people driving high-line autos home and then car jacked them when they pull into their driveways. I'm usually cautious, but hope this isn't a problem for Viper owners...

Very bad day with the Viper - Blew out the back end or drive shaft!!!

Re: Very bad day with the Viper - Blew out the back end or drive shaft!!! Yeah, I guess, kind of like those Calvin stickers you see on pickups showing him urinating on a Ford or Chevy. Dave

Very bad day with the Viper - Blew out the back end or drive shaft!!!

Re: Very bad day with the Viper - Blew out the back end or drive shaft!!! I'm sure I'll LOVE my Viper, but I have also LOVED my Corvettes. As a group I read more anti-Corvette sentiment from Viper owners than I read anti-Viper sentiment from Corvette owners. Too bad, as they are both great...

Hate to ask this, but you said the bikers saw one of the rear tires spinning backwards. Did you accidently shift into reverse? I'm so sorry. Hoefully you'll be back on the road soon! :)
