I would make you an offer, but I don't think it would be a reasonable one. I sent you an email requesting info about it, but when you sent back what you were looking to get for it, it was just out of the range that I was looking to spend.
Mad Max,
That is a real nice offer to allow fellow viper owners the ability to use your lifts. I would definitely take you up on that offer, but unfortunately I live in PA. Thanks again tho, for the nice hospitality!!!

I have a black car with connolly int and love the contrast it gives the car. At first when I was looking for a viper all I wanted was an all black 99 or 00 RT/10. The color combo just grew on me and I ended up buying a 99 black connolly RT. I am not insulted at all by his post by the way. It...
I don't want to offend anyone, but I am going to be the first to give my 2 cents. Please note, it does not matter what my opinion is, if any of the below vipers drove past me in these colors I would still stare because it is a viper.
GEN I = green or yellow
GEN II = yellow
GEN III (just...
Thanks tony..very helpful. I was just worried about not having the car completely level and not getting all the old oil out. The ramps I made, might be slightly higher than yours, but not drastically. I guess I will attempt to do mine myself. Thanks!
I have a 99 RT/10 and I think I want to attempt to change the oil myself. I have all the necessary tools to get the job done. I built a set of ramps based on instructions given by a user on this site. The ramps work great. I have a low profile jack and jack stands too. Here is my question...
I had a friend that just purchased a 98 silver GTS about 3 weeks ago. I heard yesterday that he totaled it saturday night, probably due to the fact that the roads were cold along with cold tires. A good recipe for disaster.
This car is also listed here under the classifieds section. I sent him an email asking him about the car's condition and if it was ever repainted or in a wreck. I never heard back from the guy. He has it listed here for 42K. I offered $38K for it which i thought would be a steal if he took it.
I have the random tech cat-back on my 99 RT/10 with stock cats and love the sound it makes. It will probably sound even better when I get around to putting hi-flo cats on it. I think it makes the viper sound wicked!!!! Then again I am 31.
Not only is the economy playing a role in all of the soft viper sales, but I also think it has a lot to do with who might have purchased one of these great machines. If you take joe schmoe off the street just wanting to have a viper so he can say he has one, when it comes time for him to sell...
Thanks for all the suggestions and help. Not sure what I am going to do. I am going to take a closer look at it this weekend. I might just try fixing it myself. If not, I will contact one of the guys on here to purchase the part from.
99 RT/10 viper (drivers side)....it is the plastic cap where the soft top front pegs go into on top of the front winshield frame. I guess you can call it a sort of plate covering the opening. The plastic around the screw broke so now it is loose. I got a quote from a local dealer, not sure if...
I change mine once a year in the viper. Then again I drive mine less than 5000 miles per year. It gets changed before I put it away for the winter. I change the oil in my truck between 4K and 5K miles.
Wizard,
Thanks for your help.
Venomiss,
I have the paper work filled out...it has just been a crazy couple of months in terms of bills etc. Had to make a rather substanial payment to uncle sam. It is on my list of things to buy, most likely by the end of the year.
Thanks again!
I did do a search, but since all cars might use different fluids, highly unlikely I know, but I just wanted to clarify with Chuck because he gave me those part numbers before. I do own a service manual, but like Lee00blacksilverGTS stated there might be a better fluid to use now than what was...
