leaving the hood open & my latches.....

Scorch, thanks for the info. Hudsonville is about 6 miles SW of Grand Rapids. Traveling Chicago Drive you have Grandville, Jenison, Hudsonville, Zeeland, Holland. Is Shelby north of Muskegon? My daughter in law is from there. Her dad is a long long time dentist in Shelby.

leaving the hood open & my latches.....

I have wired the plug/harness permanantly as well. I have wired the ground to a nearby screw that secures the plastic equipment to the foot box. Is this adequate or should I make up a longer wire in order to reach something on the block or to get it connected to the chasis?

GOT LIFT ?? $1000 gets you this TO YOUR DOOR !!

Re: GOT LIFT ?? $1000 TO YOUR DOOR gets you this !! Quote ________________________________________________________ Actually it does. I dont know of any lift that is made today that doesnt have safety mechanisms to them. Think about the liability issue the manufacturer would be facing. The...

GOT LIFT ?? $1000 gets you this TO YOUR DOOR !!

Re: GOT LIFT ?? $1000 TO YOUR DOOR gets you this !! Nice lift for the money. My concern is safety. Are you under the lift without it being locked. It doesn't appear to have a locking device at regular intervals or even in the full up position. When we provide sicissors lifts for industry...

    Parade advise...

I drove my '93 in the Idianapolis parade (VOI2 or 3) without any problems. Have also done high school senior prom events with high schoolers on the bar without problems. Can't address the candy throwing however.

Help.... My dealer is telling me to get a second opinion

My early (last vin #00048)'93 had a thermostat hose that was too short and wouldn't clamp up properly. This was evident early on milage wise. Seems like if this was your problem it would be very noticable by a technician however. Around 7,ooo miles I had to have a major engine rebuild due to...

    Battery Tender Ground?

Ok guys, I'm stll a bit confused. I want to do the right thing as I maintain 6 batteries over the winter and would like to purchase 6 "tenders." I have read, on more than one thread, that one must spend at least $50 to get the "proper" tender. I just purchased a "Vector 1.5 amp fully...

    GT2 Wing - vipercarparts

Neil, You have a pm, unrelated to your wing question. Having a GT2 I think it is one of the nicest looking even though it may be non-functional.

Wow, this car is the best ticket magnet!

All cops are not the same as said. My first encounter with a Viper was when I entered the e-way on ramp and passed a cop ticketing another motorist. I figured he was busy and stupididly didn't check my rearview mirror enough. I was ticketed for 80 in a 70 but was thankful because I had just...

    Vents in back of GTS?????

The airbag theory comes straight from a Dodge engineer while touring the plant while picking up my Viper. I suppose he could have been pulling our legs but that is what we were told :)

    Vents in back of GTS?????

If you look at your GTS from the rear you will see two vents, one on each side. These are above the bumper within the sculpted curved body quarter panel. Their purpose is to release interior air pressure should the air bags inflate. Without somewhere to go your eardrums may rupture. You...

    VOI 8! Sept 9 - 13, 2004

Dallas suits me fine. I have been to all seven and look forward to #8. My vote would be to shift it a least a week due to school start ups. Even though kids may not go parents would feel more comfortable knowing the youngsters are settled in at school.

    Just got my 1st Viper!!

You won't regret your investment. Be very careful with the cooler pavement temperatures! Makes a big difference. Say, I heard most wrecks occur within 5 miles of home so I moved across town.

    Vipers and Marriage

My four kids, 19,26,30,33 have been and are one of the greatest joys of my life. Second only to my wife of 36 years who doesn't give a hoot about cars but loves me to death and never complains about my cars. My faimily is a treasure, my cars will rust and fade away. Anyway, a plug for marriage!

Raised "Viper" on the head covers getting dull

Re: Raised Devildog is right, it is a losing battle but if you insist the sandpaper does work temporarily. And I suppose if you do this enough times you won't have any letters left!! Be advised however, if you are not very careful in keeping the paper taught on the block and it rubs against...

Raised "Viper" on the head covers getting dull

Re: Raised I used a piece of 600 grit sandpapter wrapped around a hardwood block and lightly ran it over the letters with a front to back motion. Looks good as new.

    Tires should have expiration dates!

I agree that one shouldn't have to legislate common sense. However, I don't consider myself stupid for not knowing 10 year old tires may be a safety hazard. I do appreciate what I can learn on this forum from many of you who are more knowledgeable in this sort of thing. My Vipers range in...

    Honest Opinions please???

I agree with Chris 999%. Based on looks alone it would be the first to go from my stable. Having said that I find even little kids, like 6-9 yrs old recognize it as a Viper. This is definitely a personal opinion as you have read many many times on this forum. Some choose it first based on...

I just completed my last transaction with Jon B

I have never purchased from Jon. I have met him at each of the 7 Invitationals and have sought advice from him via phone on a couple of occasions. I have found him to be very knowledgeable and willing to spend time with me on the phone without an order pending. I think each of us have faults...

    Mopar Accessory Question

Tom, am aware of the hibermate feature for the 03 SRT but the Gen I and II's don't have this. Please correct me if I am wrong. I'm weary of charging four batteries once a month for 8 months in good ole Michigan. Would appreciate anyone's input on a good reliable battery tender. Sorry, I know...
