Nice post for those who have never done it. Now, how about one for those who remove the rear tire to get at the battery for jump starting or charging:).
I can vouch for the ozone machine as well. A fire in our shop filled the area with thick smoke. The fire department opened up the doors to the offce and extracted the smoke from the shop through the office (instead of opening up the 5 14' doors!!). The ozone maching took care of the office in...
Even the cops do. I got a ticket for 80 in a 70 and through the grapevine heard about the cop bragging to his peers at the local donut shop that he nailed a Viper.
On the plus side it keeps the cap from banging on the paint. On my Gen 1 & 2 I put the cap in my pocket (after forgetting one). Makes a big funny looking bulge but I know where it's at:)!
My batteries weren't dead but ViperTony's post encouraged my to check them out for corrosion. Thanks to him I got my '96 just in time to prevent more serious corrousion.
Definitely a DIY project.
