Couple of tid bits.
Production capacity can go over 2000 Vipers per year if necessary.
You may be able to order sufficient variability in the options that your car will be 1 of 2000.
They started working the electronic stability system very early in the game because they knew that the...

From Car & Driver site.
Hood photo showing Gen IV six vent and Gen V two vent.

At the intro, Ralph said that with both models, you can turn off everything except the braking assistance. The SRT Viper has a track pac option (as does the GTS). The SRT comes out lighter because it doesn't have some of the sound insulation materials, espically in the wheel wells. So, SRT model...

Two great shots of Ralph showing why he is Chrysler's secret weapon.
One shows Ralph cooking steaks for the test team on his Big Green Egg which he hauled all the way from Detroit. This is the president of SRT and...
In a couple of videos, Ralph tells about the hundreds of interior options available to the customer because all the interior is wrapped. Is he saying that Chrysler will have a custom shop that will make custom interiors at customer order or that the factory will have additional options as time...
"AB: The previous Viper had some idiosyncrasies such as the hot exhaust pipe that could burn you when getting out and the loud and hot transmission tunnel, how were those issues addressed?
Gilles: We have a cast tip instead of the actual tip on the exhaust, so people won't get that kiss, that...
The SRT hood as shown on the cover of the Viper magazine is different from the SRT hood as shown in Ralph's slides at the intro.
I have not seen any of the "test" cars with anything but the GTS hood.
Anyone have any info/pics on the SRT hood?:dunno:
Gilles and others of the Viper team have said that the scoops cool the differential. Once when correcting some on who said they cool the rear breaks. Take a look at the announcement and the walkaround as I recall.
What I like about Ralph being head of SRT is that what he wants to happen, will happen. He did make the comment about addressing the heat issue in the Gen V. So far, everything that he said he'd do, he has done. He can allocate the resources to solve the problem.
I like the story about the...
Use launch control as a training aid. Can you beat your own LAunch Control time with Launch Control turned off?
Just to add fuel to the fire, the F1 drivers say they use "automatic" on acceleration and "manual" on deceleration. That is they turn the acceleration over to the gear box for max...
Congradulations to the winner of the auction. As my grandmather used to say; may you enjoy your Viper for many years in good health! You certainly helped a great cause.:2tu:
IMHO, the reason the Viper didn't go higher may be that the market hasn't caught up with the GTS Viper 2013, yet. I...
When the Gen III came out, the passions on the site came to the point where the moderators had to step in, set some rules and as a result, I left for a lot of years. I left, not because of the change of design between the Gen II and the Gen III, but because people could not discuss what happened...
Silver is the color stylists use to accent the lines of a styling presentation. Almost all styling bucks are shown in silver. The GTS-R is in silver but a haven't seen a GTS in silver yet. Waiting for that one. :2tu:
MANY THANKS for the photos!!!:omg:
Dear SRT,
I'd like a steady stream of updates from SRT on modifications to the Viper as the testing and development continues. Ralph already said that the rear spoiler will be slightly higher than the NY car. Maybe a special "read only" thread authored by SRT.
I'd like the same thing from...
IMHO, I agree that: "It's the bold shoulders and hips that makes this car so menacing, not it being slammed."
Maybe Riley can produce a series of track day cars. Get basic SRT Vipers from SRT, strip them out, do a bit of body work, put in a roll cage, widen the track and you have a track day...
