Just Changed to Polk Speakers. What to do with the back speakers?

Re: Just Changed to Polk Speakers. What to do with the back speakers? I have not pulled the current 6 1/2" speaker being used as a "subwoofer". Is it of the same marginal quality as the side speakers...indeed, did they use the identical speaker in that role? If so, a very inexpensive (albeit...

Just Changed to Polk Speakers. What to do with the back speakers?

Re: Just Changed to Polk Speakers. What to do with the back speakers? They are $84 at Circuit City today; a very clean and simple upgrade and clearly audible. Now...with that in mind...what about the small Alpine speaker and the "woofer" in the rear. Anyone found just as cost-contained...

Just Changed to Polk Speakers. What to do with the back speakers?

Vincent: The Polk speaker model for the doors is DB650 ($99 Circuit City; free shipping). Not certain what others are using as drop-in replacements in the other locations. Alice

Replacement letters for side of 04 SRT10

JonB of PartsRack.com can get you any lettering you want in any color. I changed the badging on my Black Mamba, and it looks very good...to me. http://gallery.viperclub.org/showphoto.php/photo/11121/sort/1/cat/500/page/1 Alice

    I got scammed on E-BAY

Kurt: Many have bought from him. He is a stand up guy. Maybe some temporary problem (or travel, etc) on his end. I bought one from him, works perfectly, and he was very responsive. Might be that you will not reach him until after the New Year. Alice

VCA National President, Mr. Joseph Houss

This begins the final week of the VCA Presidency of Joe Houss. I wanted to express my appreciation for all that he has done as my mentor and my friend. His wisdom, wit, warmth and accessibility has, for me, been the defining point of my interest in the hobby. Thanks so much for...

Merry Christmas John, Vic, Hal, Bill, Bryon and all VCA members and Viper owners. It has been a great year for us all. Alice

Well, after 8 years and 4 C5's.. I've moved to a Viper!.. First Post.

Re: Well, after 8 years and 4 C5\'s.. I\'ve moved to a Viper!.. First Post. Tom: And do not forget to add the K&N system for air intake. After coming from a C5, this will be quite an experience for you. Welcome aboard and be safe. Alice

Color Mock Ups, SRT-10 Bashing, Viper Views & Opinions

Scott: I believe that a combination of the new coupe appearing next month at the auto show, winter during which some cannot drive, and Christmas during which others do their mods...I think there was interest in your post and it received a good number of "reads." I think that the speculation...

I feel like I am too short in the viper

Vincent: What is really a problem on my car is when I pull hard from an intersection, as the front wheels leave the ground, I cannot see over the hood at all. It comes back down when the tires hit the road between shifts, but it is not until 5th gear that the front tires stay on the pavement...

My diff is quite loose, is it normal?

John: It is hard to hear it as it is with the Corsa Track, but it is different than before the change. I might as well remove the radio for weight savings. Cannot hear it anyway. Don't you hate all that oil underneath the car and the blue smoke? Alice

My diff is quite loose, is it normal?

John: Thanks. Yes, I think that is highly probable. It seems to occur chiefly when leaving an intersection. (Hmmm, maybe I should do that in first gear) The mechanic has done many, many of these exchanges, but there may, indeed, be a problem. Will have to wait until after the holidays...

Same here since changing to 3.55...sadly, more of a clunk than a click. Alice

So where does the Vette vs. Viper horsepower war......

Others may be able to add to this list, but horsepower limits will be determined by: a. The marketplace maintaining a financial (expenditure) interest in high horsepower (probable) b. Combined with whether the sale of such vehicles creates great revenue for the manufacturer (improbable) c...

I feel like I am too short in the viper

Vincent: I would not mind if it had rollup windows and no stereo if those meager funds would be put back into performance; admittedly the weight savings would be negligible. Obviously, being able to raise the seat for those of us who are height-impaired would be nice. "Don't want no short...

    My Viper is HERE!!!! FINALLY!!!!

The K&N is a straight forward, few minute process. I also recommend the Corsa Track, not only performs better but lowers sill temperature. I went 3.55 rear; would prefer 3.73 unless you plan engine mods. Red is a good color...get yourself some Zaino products. If you just want to play...

I feel like I am too short in the viper

Vincent: a. It is "advice"...not "advise" b. You are not short...you are vertically challenged c. Any trouble adjusting the pedals so that you can work the clutch but not have the brake then too close? Alice (HEMOTOX)

I feel like I am too short in the viper

Vincent: It truly is something you get used to, but it would be nice if the car had a height adjustment (upward). I am only 5'3". The biggest concern I have had and it is not height related is rear view...it is rather a guessing game as to where you are going in reverse...best solution is to...

    My Viper is HERE!!!! FINALLY!!!!

Counselor: I drove an NSX about three years ago. It was a fun ride. Very civilized; certainly predictable and non-threatening. It was a cool looking Honda (in reality). Most non (Viper) owners would assume that the SRT-10 is this powerful but docile grocery-getter that one can also race. Ford...

    My Viper is HERE!!!! FINALLY!!!!

Of the two concurrent mods, 3.55 was the most rewarding. The cold start on the Viper with Corsa Track is louder but still very throaty. It burbles nicely (not excessively) on deceleration. It certainly removes all sill temp concerns and it lowers cabin temp. It is moderately louder in the...

    My Viper is HERE!!!! FINALLY!!!!

"I could have told you, Vincent, the world was..." The NSX comparison is an interesting one. I think that more than a few (because you later see used SRT-10s at BMW and Mercedes dealers) believe that "well, the NSX has two seats...the Viper has two seats...which one is cooler looking."...

    A No Way Color

From a marketing and image standpoint, what color would, in your opinion, be the worst color for Dodge to release in a future Viper (setting aside pink and purple): a. Graphite/charcoal b. Beige c. Green d. Brown e. Sky Blue f. Pearl white g. or ? Fiona asked for suggestions, but I did not see...
