So I pulled the cats and my car now sounds like crap, what should I do

I have Belanger headers, modified cats (cut in half) and a Borla catback. My car burbles during deceleration. I don't use the word 'popping' to describe it, as that implies a sharper sound. It's a deep gurgling sound; a burble. And I *love* it. I wouldn't want soundless deceleration.

Pic Request: 6-spoke wheels on a Gen I/II

Title says it all. Anyone have a photo(shop) of a Gen I or Gen II (GTS or RT, doesn't matter) with 6-spoke wheels on it? Thanks!

    PS2 question ???????

The original Pilot Sports have such a sweet looking tread pattern. The PS2 looks like a freaking family sedan radial.

    Damaging some ego's maybe

By a huge margin, Porsche 911 owners are the most likely to want to street race. They comprise probably 35%-40% of the challenges I receive on the road, and unless it's a TT (most aren't) they REALLY aren't that fast. The TT's are serious business, but the vanilla Porsche 911 is just kinda...

    Damaging some ego's maybe

I've had dildos rev their engines and lurch forward in bumper-to-bumper traffic, even in traffic while it's pouring rain outside, as if it would even be possible to race in those conditions. I don't even acknowledge their existence. In moderate to light traffic, I might rev the engine or do a...

Need new tires - anyone use BF Goodrich T/A?

Due to my line of work, I travel most of the year, and as such, don't get to put many miles on my car. In the last 5 years, I've only put 16,000 miles on it, so only a bit over 3,000 miles per year. As such, I was thinking I could get away with Cups because even with Pilot Sports I wind up...

Need new tires - anyone use BF Goodrich T/A?

Heya AJ, Just wanted to pose a quick scenario, as this happens quite often on Miami highways. We tend to get very intense rainstorms, and it often causes standing water in certain places on the highway, so it's not terribly rare to hit a 1/2" - 1" deep puddle on I-95 or the Turnpike at highway...

Need new tires - anyone use BF Goodrich T/A?

Also, for the people running drag radials in the rear and street radials up front, how does it handle in the rain? I'm liking the idea of that setup, as my car was modified by DLM and getting traction on a hard take-off can be rather challenging... However, I live in Miami, and often find...

Need new tires - anyone use BF Goodrich T/A?

The main complaint I've read about them is they are supposedly very, very loud in regards to road noise. Confirm/deny?

Need new tires - anyone use BF Goodrich T/A?

I blew a tire this weekend. Since it's about time to replace my tires anyway, I'm going to replace all 4 on my '99 RT/10. As far as I can tell, the original Michelin Pilot Sports are no longer manufactured, and have been replaced with Michelin Pilot Sport PS2. I've read reviews about them...

Who are the youngest people here to own a viper

Look at it this way, Chuck. The first 3 of those last ten years, it would have been wiser to put the money in real estate. For the last 7 of those 10 years, you would have been wasting the money assuming you rode the housing boom to its bitter end, and everything you put in over the last 7...

Who are the youngest people here to own a viper

Be proud to own a Viper while young? Let's examine this statement. You can get a Gen I Viper now for $25,000 which is approximately the same price as a new Honda Accord, averagely equipped. So in terms of capital expenditure, you're paying about what you would for a family sedan. Would you...

thinking about buying a used hennessy 800 turbo kit.... help identifying the turbo's?

Re: thinking about buying a used hennessy 800 turbo kit.... help identifying the turb Run far. Run fast. Spend a bit of extra dough and get a DLM or Heffner package. You will not find a kind word about Hennessey's garbage on this board.

    1999 RT/10 Brake Upgrade Options

I want to upgrade the brakes on my '99 RT/10 and would like to do it for under $3000, installed. As such, what are my options? The car will never be tracked. I do spirited driving on occasion and like to do sequential 0-100-0 sprints, and this is when I most notice how crap the stock brakes...

    Summer in Florida... Grrrr

I've had this same discussion with people from all over. The only place I've ever been that can beat the sun's intensity in South Florida is Australia. I was sailing around the Whitsunday Islands and it was like being inside a blast furnace. Sailed for two hours, had a solid base tan, was...

Viper Exhaust Poll - which exhaust do you have?

Belanger headers, modified/shortened cats, Borla catback. I've never heard a better sounding Viper. Gives a nice, deep rumble at idle and a tuned roar at WOT.

n00b at large, with Viper dreams

Buy a mint Gen II. Better looking body, and all the creature comforts. Add a twin turbo or DLM supercharger package and you'll run circles around the 08's and 09's, and look better than them while doing it, and still save about $20k.

BlackViperGTS, As someone who is completely emotionally unattached to this thread - I know neither of you - you are coming across as a HUGE bag of douche. GTS-R 001 has been here for years. He WILL NOT rip you off for $500 when so much of his business is generated from this board. You, on...

Do you ever just smile thinking about it?

Emerald Green never struck me as a girl's color for a car, however, it did, and still does to a degree, seem out of place on a Viper. The reason is that some of the old Jaguar roadsters are the ones that popularized the Emerald Green with tan interior look, and by virtue of history and simply...

If Texas went by a few feet from the door at 50 MPH, he'd have bigger things to worry about than a crashed car... ...like Armageddon.
