I never liked the red(ish) calipers on my SSG 2009, so I decided to paint them.
It is just like a colonoscopy - The preparation is a beeeaauch!, but the procedure isn't too bad. LOL
Not really -
International standard ISO 7736 defines a standard size for car audio head units. The standard was originally established by the German standards
body Deutsches Institut für Normung as DIN 75490, and is therefore commonly referred to as the "DIN car radio size".
I'm voting on #3.
Hopefully - Tension pulley?
Before removing belt, you might try to get a few drops of oil on the pulley bearing when hot.
Then see if it happens on next cold start.

But, if you switch to a double din, as I did in my '09, you will need a saws-all to cut away some plastic, and also cut away a metal support. It's like getting a haircut. Easy to cut off, but a beach to add back.

Yeah, that would def be easier and cheaper.
Unfortunately most Viper owners, like myself, insist on hard and expensive - LOL.
But really, I tried the flip-out on another Viper, and as I remember it, the screen blocked the a/c registers.

Why not just ask Gladstone for the name and contact info of the previous owner.
Normally they will not share that info before the sale, but now that the sale is complete they may tell you.
Worth a try?

There was an envelope left on my windshield. My girlfriend opened it to find a thong and a phone number.
She threw it on the pavement, kicked it around to show the size. She said it was from a VVBBW, and I should call her.
I asked what VVBBW meant? She said VERY, VERY, BIG . . . I interrupted...
You might consider painting the radio and shift bezel.
But before doing that why not install a Double Din radio?
Then forget the "eject" button and use that area for your Nitrous arm and purge switches.
Remove the cup holder and install your nitrous pressure gauge.
Then install a cup holder...
I think I'd run the car over to a reputable body/upholstery shop.
The pros deal with this stuff all the time.
It will be cheaper to let them fix it that taking it to them after you realize it's getting worse - LOL
But that's just me.
I totally agree with you, especially the part about the folks that work hard to be successful and buy their dream car, no matter what it is. But there is another type of person that has a Viper or another car of their dreams. That is the guy that is fortunate enough to have a parent that buys...
Interesting how forums answer questions (or not). Another answer is - Assuming that you don't have another key - LOL,
A good locksmith will be able to make a new key by using a blank and your trunk key slot (that is more accessible) to make a key. I locked my keys in my trunk and a locksmith...
I have a 2009 SSG AERO coupe with silver strips. Jon B at Parts Rack looked up the numbers, and he said there were only three AERO SSG w/silver stripes produced.
'Hope this helps.

A guy in a vette spoke with me at a red light saying he had 2 brand new for $300.
We pulled over and he gave me his phone number.
Sounds too good a deal to me, but then the guy said he bought them for his vette but would not fit
I am going to call him today.
I just want one for a spare.
PM me...
