Thanks for the input. The reason the unit protrudes out a bit is because it is a full screen unit.
It needs room for the screen to open to load the DVD.
Since there are no other trim rings I would not consider that.

It is probably either a window seal or side mirror seal.
I have owned several vipers and have not had this problem, but if I did I would use blue masking tape to seal off the window seal at the exterior door panel, and the mirror seal at the exterior of the door. Wash and see if the water issue...
Oil Leak under intake FIXED!
On Gen IV's there is a solenoid, as mentioned above, that was still leaking, even though the "O" ring was changed twice.
We removed the solenoid a third time. Instead of replacing the "O" ring with a factory one again, we used a much harder (90 Durometer) "O" ring...
HELP! Has anybody had a problem with an oil leak under their intake?
When my intake was removed to have it plumbed for direct port nitrous, there was oil in the forward valley, near the variable cam oil solenoid. The "O" ring was changed, but still leaked. Next, the solenoid and "O" ring was...
Installing halo's is one of those things that look simple, and quick. But it really needs to be done by professionals. I hesitate to reveal the price Jason charged me, as we are "friends" and a quote from me may not be accurate. But then, it could be *@^# your buddy week too - LOL.

Yes, the lamp assembly has to be taken off, taken apart, then sealed and reinstalled. Not sure about the amber lamps. I'm picking the car up today, and will give more details. The amber lamps may be state law, but then, are halo's allowed? Time shall tell.

Thanks, George.
That was the first thought, but after ruining two badges I settled for one tube, and two LED's. These badges aren't your normal ornaments. They have a hard glass or some kind
of clear ceramic coating that chips and bursts when drilled. Using a diamond bit helps, but not a lot.
I had Phastec Performance in Houston install the Plasma halo. They are as bright as LED, but look more like florescent - no bright dots of light.

Well, my '09 is back home at last.
Both nitrous systems installed, but direct port is not tuned yet.
Had to install another cup holder because nitrous gauge was installed at regular cup holder. Cigarette lighter is now a hidden switch/purge for nitrous.

Be VERY careful dealing with this car lot.
Is it a specialty lot? YES it is.
Are they trustworthy? NO!
I bought a '05 vert from them. Then I noticed a wiper blade was taped on. Yes, I said taped on with black electrical tape. They offered a car fax that was clean, but we all know how that...
Oh, they know. IMHO, most of the time when non-car nut folk see a kid of 25 or less driving an exotic car
they automatically think that it was supplied by- a. parents, b. an inheritance, c. lottery.
MoparMap, you obviously do not fall in that category. When I was a young'un driving a Corvette I...
Constantly.
I think that considering we are not talking 2009 sedan here, it is an expected, and legitimate question. It’s the price you pay for being successful. We work hard, buy the car of our dreams, and should expect the average Joe (like we were) to be curious about the price, and many...
Please post updates and photo examples.
I have a green fetish and would like to see anything green.
See my thread for POGS, (Proof of Green Sickness) at: Work in progress - Nitrous and Green things
The Green Machine is a Show & Go project.
Heavy on the "Show" and light on the "Go".
This project is a father/son bonding thing.
My son, Chris, is a wrench head (tech) at BMW, and if it were up to him the engine would be completely rebuilt for direct port nitrous, max hp & torque.
But the old...
