Help on pricing my 96 GTS, may sell it.

The price will be $42k without the BBS rims, $44k with them. If your buyer doesn't care for the rims, I'll give you $2500 for them.

    GEN1 Alarm system ???

I get a very faint blip when arming my GEN1 but nothing when disarming. The GEN2 has a much more noticable arming blip, but still none for disarm.

WoodHouse Engine Mounts on a Gen 4

I tried that, I even took off the bracket bolt that goes to the block. I raised and lowered the engine a dozen times. Nothing worked and I had to do the same thing I did to my 94'. It was off about 1/4" no matter what I tried. Shaving half the dowel stub is all that worked for me. When you...

WoodHouse Engine Mounts on a Gen 4

Now you're just making up acronyms as you go. :) I had the same problem on my GEN1 and 2. I don't know why Woodhouse doesn't eliminate or shorten the location of the slot key on one side. I ended up shaving half of one off but still left a little remaining to "key" the mount into the slot.

anyone blend e85 with gas , thoughts , formula for mixing , ideas

Let us know how it goes. I had asked Sean Roe about this but he said they don't have E85 around him and he never played with it. I once threw four gallons in my wife's Continental and it ran fine.

Gen 4 Drive By Wire Band-Aid Fix....Sort Of

That is really all the sprint booster does, just makes the curve more aggressive by moving the endpoint for WOT closer to 3/4 throttle, so it feels snappier but it's only shortening the pedal bandwidth. It doesn't really improve the lag though.

Mobil 1 oil filter vs Mopar Viper spec

I see what you're saying, but all I know is Dick Winkles said to go to a thicker oil and a quality filter (over the 090) and it cured all my oil pressure issues at the track. I don't think the Mobile 1 filter did this on it's own. But with the 090 and 10w30, pressure would drop to 20 PSI at...

So I know drive by wire was updated in 09...

I have a Crossfire and a 300C. The drive-by-wire is terrible on both those cars, but in different ways. The 300C just plain lags altogether. Blipping the throttle does nothing at all. The Crossfire has an adaptive DBW that seems to respond to blips, but changes the ramp up every time you...

Will the throttle response be improved?

I thought the opposite. I feel my 98' has the best throttle response of any car I've ever driven. It's improved over the GEN1 and definitely better than any drive-by-wire GEN4.

    New Gen V Videos

Nice finds, except for the first one. It's a great looking car but I can't help but be distracted by the trunk lid trenches on the B&W. I can't stop looking at the gaps, they are really worse than the GEN1 and GEN2 because they are so looooong and noticable. It looks like an unrefined kit car...

Re: GenV design feature that I'm getting tired seeing copied in vehicle designs latel Well the SLS was actually built off a muled GEN IV experimental frame and body panels.

    Belching Noise

Both my Vipers make the popping noises from the exhaust and other stuff cooling down. But the belching noises sound like a stomach with Diarrhea and come from my hoses and reservoir bottles.

Mobil 1 oil filter vs Mopar Viper spec

I was doing the same thing for years, after all, for a while the 090 filter was all there was and was put in GEN1's and early Gen2's from the factory. The 090 shelf filter works just fine. But I started using 15W/50 for the track per Dick Winkles and he said I should start using either the...

    Belching Noise

Really don't bother worrying about the head gasket, it's a steel MLS gasket that's bulletproof, I doubt it's that. But if you want to be put at ease, before they tear into your engine, have them do a compression test first, and I'm sure they will find nothing wrong there. If it's the coolant...

    Belching Noise

Both my 94' and my 98' make noises similar to a person with bad gas and it's from the crazy cooling system purging air and moving antifreeze around after the car is off for a few minutes. There's a separate reservoir that is constantly exchanging fluid after the engine is off. Mine sometimes...

The RT/10 surprised me at the track yesterday

Thanks guys. To answer a question, this was my first time using 15w/50. I may keep it in there because I plan on tracking more often. The only thing I noticed was slightly louder lifter tick when cold, which is what I expected. :rolaugh: No, my 230lbs passenger and my 20lbs bottle. I guess...
