I am debating on getting Sidewinder II's for my GTS but the offset of 20mm has me concerned. I know it mounts great on a GEN3/4. But are there rubbing issues on a GEN1/2? Any pics?
Yes, it's as simple as dropping the pan under the trans and removing two bolts holding the lockout solenoid in place. Done in under an hour including jacking the car up.
I just called three dealers near me. Two didn't even know what I talking about when I asked if the carry the SRT brand. I just got treated like crap on the phone by the third dealer for even hinting at a test drive, even after stating I own two Vipers. Chrysler needs to educate their dealers and...
Nobody knows, not even Hennessey. Half his cars didn't have the stuff he claimed to put in. If you called the company, not even they know. For all you know the H 500 could be smooth tubes and a sticker. Just enjoy the car and let everyone who doesn't know think you have a beast.
Waaaaa!!!! Waaaaaa!!!! :( Shifting is so hard!!!
Shut up and grow a pair. :drive:
I don't like it when they test the very best from one company with the entry level of another. Waiting for the TA would have been a better comparison. But he still would have wined about having to move his arm...
I believe you need to drill the rivets out. A rivet gun and new rivets are required to reinstall, or think of a clever way to make the panel easily removable without rivets.
If you only take out the four bolts holding the hood to the brackets, there is no aligning at all as there is no play with those bolt holes. On a GEN1 setup, 180F stat is better and heater won't ever be an issue. I did a 170F stat and I have more heat than I know what to do with. GEN2's have a...
Glad you're ok. Snakebite is never fun. I knocked down a telephone pole once in a Stealth due to a tire blow out. It's embarassing enough because everyone always assumes you were being a careless idiot. I can't imagine being in the news over something like this that didn't involve anyone else...
I called PSI just now. This Dyno run was done several years ago and the tuner said they were just using a Mopar ECU, but then switched back to the stock ECU as the mopar one did nothing for this setup. The Nitrous kit is plug and play and comes with the intake tubes and adapters as well as a...
I have personally Dyno'd at that exact Livernois location on that exact Dyno. I've had nothing but bad experiences at that place, but besides that, I have a Nitrous setup on my 94' and I could not get that Dyno to show any more than an 81HP increase. I have a ROE B&B Catback and smooth tubes and...
Dude, haven't you all heard... White is the new black... especially with silver stripes...
Mine next to Ralph's...
I want Ralph's shirt, it's like a Superman logo but with Stryker!
Just have it stripped, repolished and recoated. It's not tarnished, it's aluminum oxidation. And the bubbling is the protective clear coat wearing off.
Call one of the venders like Chuck or Dan. Change the thermostat, but don't bother with the timing cover as it's a whole other operation that doesn't require the removal of any of the parts needed to do a head gasket change. You are technically a GEN1 engine so you don't have the GEN timing...
You should not be able to rotate the driveshaft with the car in gear, at least not by hand. Your halfshafts should rotate in opposite directions. But it may take more torque to spin your broken diff freely than by hand. With the trans in nuetral I was able to rotate the driveshaft by hand and...
Holy Crap Batman!
What where you doing!?! Once again, this may or may not be related to what I discovered. Last year, I found nearly every bolt that holds the diff on my GTS to be under torqued by as much as 50ft/lbs. I had to retorque everything last fall because I heard a clunk when...
Just FYI to all: I found nearly every bolt that holds the diff on my GTS to be under torqued by as much as 50ft/lbs. I had to retorque everything last fall because I heard a clunk when letting off. After retorquing, the clunk disappeared. I could see this causing Diff failures.
I have Woodhouse mounts that I installed a year ago, but I never thought of that.
The thing is, I'm not losing any fluid, the reservoir is always full. Last fall I sucked out the old fluid from the reservoir but didn't flush it. I thought it was much harder to flush so I put it off, but it...
I really don't know for sure but according to the previous owner, all the fluids were changed in 2008. I changed every fluid except the clutch fluid last fall.
Well since starting this thread over an hour ago, I went ahead and changed the fluid by myself using a bleeder I made with some hose...
Ok, on my 98' GTS, when cold it shifts like normal. After it warms up, it sporadically is tough to get into gears, typically first gear or reverse from a stop. I know that the clutch slave cylinder goes bad on these, but I'm not losing fluid and it seams to be heat induced. Could it just need a...
