I think what this thread does is show everyone has different likes and dislikes.I don't think anyone here dislikes either one but it's like comparing apples to oranges really. Totally different styles and both are beautiful in their own right. Just something about the Viper's mean look that...
I hadn't drank in over ten years, but yesterday went down to the store and bought a twelve pack and put it in my little garage fridge. I sat and looked at my two Vipers and i really did enjoy it. Just had one beer though. Never was much of a drinker really, but that was fun! lol
Sure is a beautiful Viper! I have a 94 R/T also and just in the past month bought a 99 GTS. I agree with you about the better driveabilty but i don't know about more power in my case. I haven't been able to find out for sure what if anything was modded on the RT though as i cannot get in touch...
Hey guys,i wanted some posters for my new garage and so i found this place that enlarges your photo. They look real nice on my wall and they are the actual pics of my cars. Mine turned out great so i figured i'd post the site name here in case anyone has the same idea. I also ordered frames for...

Yep,that is true...their was a lot of bad things back then too. I was just a kid though and had no worries. Son of a poor but hard working coal miner, but never knew we were poor.I even wrote a song about that very thing. (bluegrass of course) lol
I don't know where you were ,but i know i didn't play basketball when i grew up down in the Mountains. For one thing schools didn't have Basketball because they didn't have Gyms and good luck trying to find a flat spot to play! One thing you said is true...you won't find nicer people or folks...
Hey there fellow Hillbilly! I am originally from Big Rock,Va which is very close to the West Va State line. My Daddy grew up in Jolo ,West Virginia. Or as he says 'I was born and half raised there'. LOL:drive:
I don't think it is all about horsepower. I'll stick with my old Vipers and enjoy them. This reminds me more of a Chrysler Crossfire than a Viper. I guess everyone has their own ideas of what a Viper should be though, and more power to them. :drive:
I agree, what's the sense of owning an American musclecar if it doesn't have American style? I hope they don't kill the Viper and replace with a European supercar.
My wife and i went grocery shopping today here in Central Va,and i was really surprised because as we were driving, not one but two Vipers passed us going the other way. That may not seem like much to most, but i live in a rural area of Virginia where most people don't even know what a Viper is...
Wow! that seems steep to me too. I just had two rear tires mounted on my gen 1 and it only cost me 25 to do both. The local Dodge dealership here did it. I figured it would be very high, but was pleasantly surprised. Dodge dealerships should be able to do the job either way. That sounds real high...
As a new gen 1 ownwe,i had a lot of problems and a lot of questions . I posted some here in forums and it seemed everytime i did someone would tell me to contact Chuck Tator,or contact the Wizard or give Chuck a call...Well,it took me a while to get it,but when i did,i was pleasantly surprised...
Yeah,i think the torque surprised me. It throws ya back into the seat don't it? As far as i know the Belanger headers is the only mod, although i really have no real way of knowing short of doing some dissasembly and i won't do that since all i use it for is cruising and enjoying the feel of a...
Congratulations, My first wedding i drove my 69 Dodge Coronet RT 440 Six pack and nobody could keep up as we got away, not even my brother in law's 70 Camaro super sport. So,if ya wanna get away i think the Viper will do it...but everyone will know who you are! :dunno:
I am very happy with the price and am going to hang on to it .Have invested around 6k in it with upgrades like windows ,gears and a few other things, but still seems cheap to me anyway. I also got a great deal on the GTS. Paid a little over 35k for it,and it is like new with just 17k miles(Thanks...
Yeah she is the best! I just happened on the gen 1 while searching for a used truck on CL.While i was looking at CL,the Viper popped up.The wife was just wa;lking by and saw it and said "what's that?,it's beautiful"...i told her it was a Viper and she said "buy it if ya want"... I called the man...
Thanks,i love them both. The gen 1 is a bit rougher to drive but a lot of fun whereas the GTS is easier driving . I get a lot of looks in either, but honestly the gen 1 gets most attention . I was out in the garage last night looking at both and trying to figure why. I came to the conclusion the...
