I agree with 01saphirebob. I have 2 gen II and a gen IV. I love the gen II style more and find myself in the seat of them 3 times more than the IV. If conditions requires me to let one go it would be the IV. The IV is way more advanced but the seat of the pants adrenaline go-kart ride of the gen...
Yeah do the stripes. I have seen them the other way gloss car with flat stripes. Very understated and very cool. You could even do stripes in that black pearl color like on the challenger paint. It has some metallic which would really be cool!
Well I am not really worried about the head unit controlling the ipod so much, mainly it is the sound quality I am after. If I have to manipulate the Ipod while at high speeds I guess it will have to do. I have not been paying attention to aftermarket radio units in the last decade, what is out...
I got a unit for the 09 and my ipod can be controlled by the stereo knobs and the sound is great. This unit plugged in the rear cd changer slot on the head unit of the factory radio (for the connections). I looked for a similar unit for the 2000 and I can't find one at the local best buy. The...
I was just about to say that as well. It took about 250 miles for mine to learn the car. At first start up after putting in the mopar unit the car bucked some, erratic idle but as I drove it it got smoother and stronger. The best part was the long drive to salt lake city, I could see the...
I have a 2000 GTS but had a 98 before. I would take the 98 hands down because of the cam and the engine. I believe it is a stout motor and the cam sounds great at idle.
I had a 92 TT Stealth and moved to a viper in 98. Do not regret it at all. The pull you feel with the stealth turbos in full throttle is just the beginning in the viper power band. I kept the stealth for about 3 months after the viper came, then got smart and got the wife a new ride by trading...
It could be too much refrigerant. That tends to send pressures all over the map. The system once vacuumed down only takes 30 ounces of refrigerant. Once recharged with the proper refrigerant the sight glass will be clear.
Update:
Drove the car immediately after completion of the repair and got readings about 48 degrees out the vents. Car sat two weeks and no signs of refrigerant leak. Took the car out yesterday to cars and coffe and ran errands all day with cold air in the cabin. After the return home I put the...
It's time for some new tires so what's a good born on date to make sure I don't get some hard hockey pucks that have been sitting on the shelf! I forgot the manufacturing date code stuff, I guess I need a decoder ring!!
After studying the shop manual I determined the hood must come off. Then removed the left side hood hinge assembly bolts so I could slide it out of the way. Once that was done I could get the condenser line apart and do the o-rings. I vacuumed the system down and recharged it and it works great...
Ok tired of the a/c leaks. I did the compressor o-rings this past spring and slowed the leaks down significantly. But I shot some more die in to double check and I found a leak on both fittings on the condenser out front as well. So I went ahead and replaced both o-rings on the drier assembly...
