I have almost the same trouble with mine !
Thankfully, I have dealer installed emergency handles.
If you have problems again, grab the manual (finger sized)
emergency ring at the lower front corner of the window,
lift up and pull to the rear. Instant relief !
"When in doubt call CHUCK !"
Best service on new parts, FACTORY help, and all round nice guy:
Chuck Tator! (He actually dove 90 miles one way to deliver a part to Fed Ex to save us about $50 for shipping)
Used parts, shop around. There are many vendors.

So you would or not ?
My car is at the dealer getting a rear main seal
fixed (25k and no coolant leak !). The trans is out
and they asked me if I would like to replace the
clutch and flywheel. The clutch looks great, but I
am wondering about swapping to an aluminum flywheel.
I need to let them...
Who has gone to an aluminum flywheel ?
Who has the best price on them ?
What brand is best ?
From a performance point of view, is it worth it ?
What difference should it make on an otherwise stock car ?
Thanks in advance
I have to drop my car off at the local dealer
for some warranty work. I am having anxiety attacks about
doing this. This dealership does have a Viper "tech"
who went to class in 1995, but has not worked on
or even seen a Viper since then.
Can anybody suggest something that I can do to
ensure...
There are still some out there. Three weeks ago I asked my local Sears store to see if they could get a pair, and they are now on my car. You might try the same thing, I guess they must be warehoused somewhere.
DLM for sure ! Mine was broken in exactly the same spot.
The material the frame is made of is a non metallic composite
of some sort, which surprised me. I couldn't find anybody
that would touch it. Doug said he could handle the job, but
was overloaded with work at the time. I waited...
I installed my new black dash kit in my '94 a few weeks
ago, what a dramatic improvement !
But now after a few weeks I have finger prints and such
all around the glove box area, and everywhere else that
your hands might come in contact with the dash surface.
The new dash acts like a sponge...
Doesn't anyone read their owners manual ?
Center console, second switch from the left, right next to the fog lamp switch. Toggle back to increase front clearance, toggle forward for anything over 55 MPH.
I've noticed a lot of mood swings in my gas gauge.
Sometimes it seems to creep down so slowly that I start bragging about the mileage I get.
This afternoon, I took the car to town, 25 miles each way.
I started off with a little over a 1/4 tank. When I got into
town and started dealing with...
I know I've seen posts on this before, but maybe somebody has
new info.
I (ie. the wife) wants a CD player. I went to the local stereo
shop and asked about it. He looked up the Viper specs in a
book they have and said it would only run about $90 for
installation, but he couldn't sell me the CD...
It\'s not just Tator.........
Thank you Doug Levin.
Sent him my (broken) soft top. A week or so later I have it back.
Modified, but functional. No BS. No Hassles.
Repaired and sent back.
Checks in the mail Doug.
Doesn't it feel great when the person you are trusting to do
your repair work, or...
I just noticed a minor spot of oil under my car which
has been parked for a few weeks. I don't know if it's
from the engine or power steering. Would this be covered
under the DC extended warranty ?
I was following my wife home last night in the Viper.
She says that my right side fog lamp was much dimmer
than the left. Since they are both the same Halogen
bulbs, I suspect that the right side lamp is out of
alignment (I was fooling with that side last week).
From what I can feel from behind...
Just got my new black dash replacement kit.
Thank you Mr. Tator !
Apparently quite a few gen one owners have also been
ordering from him.
I have not opened the package yet, so it may be obvious
when I look at the pieces, but can somebody tell me how long it should take to swap it out ? Saturday...
