Where to look to buy a Viper / Where to get custom Interior?

I can't remember the web site, but with the one I used, you enter in the car you are looking for and it searches everything- craigslist, ebay, auto trader, and a many others. I had my interior done by a local shop and I'm very pleased with the results. I have also seen a Venzano interior and...

    Amazing picture by K2M

Every time I see this car, the paint looks amazing! What's the deal? Is every Gen V going to look like this? ...and I agree. that is an awesome photo!

Thank You SRT and Ralph Gilles!

You're going to love the torque! I had the privilege of driving a friend's 911 Turbo, and while it is an amazing car in every way, I really enjoyed how it felt to get back into my Viper with it's big brutal American engine. Welcome to the family! ~Jay

Thank You SRT and Ralph Gilles!

I can't wait to see it in person. The SRT team really knocked it out of the park with this one. In 1992 a Fuel injected Cobra is what the world needed. Today, a 4500 pound Mercedes is almost as fast. The new Viper needs to be a little more than it has been in the past. It's not about...

    The new dash and gauges

Forgive me if this has already been discussed, but what do you think of the new design? One thing I love about my Gen III are its white, all business, Auto Meter style, incandescent illuminated REAL gauges. I also like all the tech in a GT-R or Lexus LFA. Is the Gen V a good...

Why Not Magnetic Ride Control? Ferrari has it..

Thanks Paul, do you know what the differences are?

Why Not Magnetic Ride Control? Ferrari has it..

I know magnetic ride is a really expensive option. Maybe that's why. What the Viper will have in its two settings are: hard, and REALLY hard. I guess that's what Viper ownership is all about. Living in the LA area, I would mind a third setting called: "70's Cadillac" for our horrible...

New Poll---Buying a Gen.V SRT Coupe or a Gen. V GTS Coupe or........

If I could afford a $100,000 car, i would find a way to come up with the extra cash needed for the GTS. I voted wait for convertible, assuming there will be a GTS convertible. I just spent a small fortune on a new interior and stereo with Bluetooth and navigation on my gen III. Maybe in 6-8...

    Key Fob and Ignition ???

I agree, It seems kind of silly to have to turn a key and push a button on my '04. On my Lexus, I never need to take the key out of my pocket-- I hope the Gen V is the same. ~Jay

    Corvette

Looks like your patience paid off. This appears to be an awesome Viper! I think a new Viper and mid-year Corvette would look good in your garage.... or any garage for that matter :) - preferably mine if I could afford it. ~Jay

    Corvette

Looks like for the most part they like it. In fact, they appear to like it better than we do. Last year when I was considering a Viper, I asked the Corvette Forum what they thought. To my surprise it was mostly positive. I didn't tell them I'd have to sell the Corvette to get a Viper though...

    No DI?

My 3.5L V6 Lexus has DI and has 300HP. It seems to work very well. The Viper at 8.4L, if I did my math right, would have 720HP and run as smooth as a Lexus. If I'm not mistaken, doesn't DI allow much higher compression with cheap gas? And high compression is like free HP. Maybe racing is...

    Wipers not working- Help Please

After having a stereo installed my wipers stopped working. It turned out to be that that part of the wiring harness wasn't snapped together tight enough. Maybe yours is loose enough to be intermittent. ~Jay

    Gentex Auto Dimming Mirror

I put one in my '68 Corvette. I didn't realize how much I appreciated until I got the Viper. The mirror I had also had the outside temperature, I miss that too. But on the Viper, I love the look of its oval shaped mirror. I wouldn't want to give that up. Sometimes form is more important...

    Another subwoofer question...

What is the source of the buzzing? Are you sure it's the sub, and not something else? I wanted mine to look stock, I had to use the stock enclosure, or spend a fortune to have one fabricated. I started out with a JL sub, but I didn't work with the stock grill. I ended up using the stock Sub...

    iPhone kit?

When I looked into adding an iPod adapter on my '04, I could never get a clear answer as to whether or not it would actually work. It seemed to be hit and miss, and installation often caused very strange electrical problems. My solution was to spend a small fortune and have an after market...

Viper crashes into tree near Boca Raton

"erratically" is a very subjective term. According to my wife, if I'm not the slowest car on the road, then I'm driving "erratically" It is good to be reminded of how much power is under our right foot in these cars. Bad things can happen quickly, even to good drivers. I'll definitely be in...

    computer fried?

When my cats were plugged it had the exact same symptoms- no codes, no warning; smelled like it was running rich. Have it towed, don't drive it. With my 2004, there was an 8/80,000 emissions warranty. I barely made with only a few months to spare! It saved me thousands, With those thousands...

    Recon - 2014 Corvette ZR1 renderings

My first thought was how much I don't like the Camaro rear end... I guess I'm not alone! Overall, I like it. I especially like the rear window. What I don't like, besides the rear end, is the notch for the door pull, and it has a few too many vents. ~Jay
