Even though the FGT is iconic and one of my all time favorites, if you have a Viper, don't feel like you are missing out on the driving experience. Especially the older ones that require skill to keep them in the road. Smoke some tires, be safe, have fun and keep it between the lines- for the...
Hello All,
I am signed up for a "Wanna go Fast" event at the end of the month- 1/2 mile on a runway. I have a 2015 that has about 1500 miles on it. Unfortunately when I had about 400 miles I ran over a screw on the front left tire. At the time I had to get it plugged and since then I...
Sorry that I have not updated my post. I will try the hair dryer technique and twist the emblem into the proper position. I picked the car up at the dealer the day it was delivered. I suppose the emblem may have been tampered with at the dealership but highly doubt it as it was not in the...
I took possession of my car in April. I didn't notice that the front emblem was severely crooked until I washed it after a few weeks. I thought I could deal with it but it looks awful. I went on a plant tour and saw about 5 people going over a new car with white gloves and clipboards. How in...
My son and I took a tour of the plant this last Friday (May 1st) We saw the first GTC it was kind of a candy apple red color. We also went to Prefix -the paint company where we witnessed some of the GTC's getting their stripes and one was PINK! No kidding.
Very cool tour if you ever get a...
Ordered on January 19th and after once again having to inquire as to the status of the build I was told it was completed at the end of March. HOT DAMN finally I thought to myself. They said at that time it was in storage and would ship out by the 14th of April. I called yet again today and...
Correction on my order date- It was January 9th and the 28th was the day they gave the VIN number. Still no word on when it might be completed. It would be nice if they would say no sooner than **** but no later than ***** or anything.
I am still waiting----and waiting----and waiting on a plain ole SRT that I ordered on January 28th. Almost 2 months ago and they can't even tell me if the car has been scheduled to build yet. So it could be forever and a day before a roadster and/or paddle shifters make an appearance.

Update on my application with Grundy: As I stated earlier, they sent a response "that they weren't writing policies for the chosen vehicle". I called and asked why not and it was because I accidentally hit a box saying a driver under 25 would be using the vehicle. I told them that was an error...
For what its worth- I have my 69 Mach 1 428cj insured through American Collectors Ins. agreed value 50K and they are only charging me $220/year- full coverage 100K/300K, with spare parts coverage and no deductible. Give them a try at renewal.
I tried Grundy online yesterday and they "were not writing policies for the vehicle chosen" I will give them a call and see whats up. Thanks for the advice.
I have a classic Mustang that I have collectors insurance on and it is very, very cheap ($240 year) and the car is worth about 50K. My Gen 3 was also insured under a "hobbyist" policy and it was about $800 per year full coverage 300/100K limits. There were requirements like keeping in locked...
I pulled the trigger on a new Gen V when they opened the order bank. Bummer they tell me its a 90 day wait on a SRT. I have a feeling the
GTC will take a while to get delivery.
I was going to order up this week but now I have to re-evaluate that. Can anyone clarify what options will come with GTC price? I mean if you order stripes and aero kit, are you paying more like you would on SRT? Will any of the 10 wheel options be available without an increase in price? If...
Happy New Year All,
As I wait for the order bank to re-open so I can put mine in for a silver SRT, I am still searching around for a 2014 that I may strike a deal on. Whilst searching online (eBay motors, Manheim, Auto Trader, etc.) there are plenty of 2013/14 SRT's for sale -except the...
[, but they took the SRT 6 vent hood option away which sucks, I so prefer that hood.
I love that hood as well. I think previous Viper owners prefer that hood over the GTS one. I also don't need all the fancy smancy trim pieces and you are correct that the only silver ones left at the dealers...
Thanks for posting John and congrats. I am about to pull the trigger as well- still holding out for a silver one. Guess I will have to go with a 2015 SRT as it is in my price range but can't find a silver 14 GTS that is a great deal. Black- yea no problem, plenty of deals.
I am working with a dealer in the mid west to try to strike a deal on a silver GTS but if it costs me more than 10K over what I can get a 15 SRT I will pass and put in the order. I have decided I will not settle for any other color. Does anyone know if I wait a few more weeks to order...
Thanks for the input. Definitely going to get silver. If I can get a decent deal on existing one I will snap it up, if not I will get one ordered and wait ---and wait. Thanks again.

I sold my Gen 3 last month that I had for 10 years and I am getting ready to purchase Gen V. I have my heart set on billet Silver (last one silver too) Here's the dealI prefer the SRT hood but can be happy with the GT style. I have found some deals on 14 GTS's that are going to be about the...
My Gen III is Silver with stock rims that have been black powder coated with new Super Pilot sport tires. Never been in the rain and garage kept every night. 21,500 miles, never been on the track. Dealership changed all fluids last year including differential.
A few small scratches but...
My 15 y.o. son whips my a$$ on Forza every time we play. We made a super cool driving simulator station out of a real racing seat. Great vibrations and steering wheel reacts very realistically. The video gen 3 viper handles just about exactly like my real one does. Tracks are very realistic...
