Dave this issue just makes me sick. I talked to a Dodge rep last week but the car is out of warranty and I will look for the Caravan regulator. He logged the issue so I will see what they plan on doing from Dodge as they ought to have known.....a PITA.
Do you have Herbs E-mail or phone number as I would like to talk to him about this? Also I will try and find out which van part could be used. Great, the exact same part but if its got Viper written on it it is 3X the cost. Hello Viper tax!!!
I called these guys and the guy said that they will make a complaint, the engineers will look the problem, then file a complaint with Chrysler/Dodge. Apparently this is the first step to getting the vehicle recalled. He asked if I had fixed it yet and I said no because the part was too...
George, one thing to think of.....Is not the only challenger in the world. I am sure that there are a few dealers out there, maybe not in your area that would love to take a Viper in for a Challenger. Good luck. On another note some people just don't care if they get screwed, its really is just...
Dave
I am all over this one......They need to be pressed on this one and pressed hard as this issue has the potential to affect so many cars. I really doubt that this part was re-engineered. This is a perfect example of an organization that knew problems existed yet never issued a recall...
With a new model there will be issues but usually of the minor variety. I would be that they still used those terrible window control modules....the ones that cause your window to not go up properly when closing the door. I pretty much wrecked a door panel getting inside the door to see nothing...
I call BS on this comment. And you have wind tunnel results to show this? Those lights are inset and pretty much flat. If anything these lights will cause drag and not lift but not even worth worrying about. At 205 MPH a .001 % change because of a fog light is negligible at best. if you think...
Guys you are right they really missed the boat on this one....no fogs....that's a must have. This, I believe is the Ferrari influence as in 599 influence....no fogs whatsoever on those cars. The fogs need to be on this car otherwise the 599 Viper will be just that, an American exotic muscle car...
The spot is a character spot or birthmark....not a big deal with me. One thing that I did notice with this FE is the gaps on the rear quarters are perfect. I looked at a VooDoo and would not buy that car as the gaps in the rear quarters were ridiculous for a 100K car. This FE is a beauty and...
Drew, This is the car that came from Red Deer correct? If it is I know the car well. The distinguishing spot the size of a fist on the car roof will confirm this. There was some sort of fluid that dropped on the roof, stained the paint even though they tried to remove the mark it would not come...
Geez you guys are killing me.....this is hilarious.... ROFL.....bunch of comics......no more ab crunches for me as my stomach is so sore.....you guys humor is priceless.....
Sounds like there is a short somewhere....I find it highly unlikely that both gauges would fail at once......has to be a short or bad ground somewhere.
Not to hijack the thread but while we are talking about recalls, etc......Bill can you do anything about all our window regulators that have been a continual failure? Contact names at Dodge would help please.
Thank you.
Mine did that also now I have a window filler that has separated from the metal that forms part of that window channel piece. When the window went up slipped onto the wrong side of the channel and separated the piece. From what I saw it takes a couple of screws to take it off but here is the...
Thanks so much Sly. Much appreciated. I was thinking I should get another panel as I have to get back into that door to replace the regulator. Stay tuned as the adventure continues....
Well add one more to the list. It started when I went to close the door and when closing I heard a nasty sound of glass hitting the roof (drivers side toward rear of window). I heard it but I couldn't believe it so I slowly tried closing the door and sure as heck it hit the roof pillar. Well...
