Re: Newbie: a not so typical
Good luck in your search.... I was a Mustang guy at one time... then I got hit in the head with a V10, and haven't seen straight since ;) had a 1995 SaleenS351... very fun car... but NOTHING compares to driving a Viper... p.s The Cobra R's are bad azz!
Hey Warfang, I put about 3K miles down in the 7months I've had it.... but that's do to the fact I had the car on JackStands for 2-3 months waiting for my wheels to get chromed... I'd definitely have a little more if that didn't take so long.... I'm taking her from NorCal to SoCal and back...
So I take mine out for a quick drive, come home.... hop into the daily driver and head to Home Depot.... and I see 2 Vipers both within a couple miles from home... within maybe a 1 hour period... surprised to know they were that close to home....
Saw a Blue/White on Watt Ave in Sacramento...
Wise choice on yr/color ;) Welcome to the Viper world! you'll probably notice your pics didn't work when you check back... so. . . can't wait to see the Viper when you fix the linky link! Congrats.
Yeah, he's the same type of guy that trips over his own shoe lace and says "I meant to do that" lol Next on his agenda is to trade his stupid Harley for one of those bad azz mini pocket bikes!
3:73's here, $1000 installed.... done by Ted @ Valaya... they're pretty touchy off the line :) but sweet when punching it in 3rd gear at about 60mph.... whiplash!
Hamish, you might want to see Chris B. at Autowest Dodge of Roseville... I've spoken to him before, I believe he said he worked with Ted @ Valaya for a while... Chris is Roseville's designated Viper Tech.
Also, Shawn (916) 334-9304.... I just met him... he has a shop in...
I'm actually pretty lucky... I constantly get "All that money you paid for that dang car, and you just let it sit there" So whenever I do drive the snake, and she asks where I'm going... I just reply "I'm going to get my money's worth" lol...
If Santa Clause brings me a SC for Christmas this year, better believe I'll be throwing on the badges... but like it was said above.. I guess it's how you want to be perceived on the street... I personally would like them to read that I'd whip their arzzz... and kindly follow through if they...
there goes another "Viper killer" classifieds add when this guy goes to sell his Stang... sorry to hear the news... no excuses, but the guy probably had every penny he had invested into that stang :) Get'em next time man.
I think the number one request is when these idiots signal the "Burn rubber" hand motion.... Yeah! like I'm gonna burn up my dang P-Zero's for your entertainment! lol... I do also drive EXTRA slow... and not give'em the time of day... most that challenge you, know they'd get demolished...
Hey guys, I just threw a new battery and alternator in the car.... and also bought a trickle charger... I was wondering if you guys that use the trickle chargers leave it on your cars all the time?... or do you go off and on? is charging at 2amps ok to just let stay hooked up all the time...
ohhhh.... you mean THAT tensioner... lol... sometimes you get so frustrated and just forget to THINK! lol... found it, made getting the belt on just a little easier lol... hey, thx for going easy on me... ViperAlley would have had a field day with this post.. lol....
Anybody please! I've had it... lol.... I can't get the dang belt over the Alternator pulley... I have the bottom bolt in, alternator pushed to the furthest fwd position, and the belt is not even close to coming around... any tips, I wish it had like a tension pulley or something... I'm beat!
