Launch control- the "Ultimate Poser" option

It's a super awesome hypercar thing. Right?

Yet Another Annoying Gen V Article

No. It's just humorous to watch a bunch of people who can't afford a real "supercar" fool themselves into thinking they have one. It's kind of sad really. I just enjoy trolling you dreamers every now and then. Why is it that people who really own "supercars" don't call their exotics by the same...

Yet Another Annoying Gen V Article

Hey now, let's not counter bull**** with more bull****. The Viper has been the ultimate American exotic. Calling the Viper a "supercar" is just plain silly. I expect more out of the Viper community. Let the GTR guys call their sports car a supercar. Supercars cost $500k+ and are a lot less...

Viper PURIST, what is the line/definitiion

It's obvious the transient yuppies here who belong in Porsches have a chip on their shoulder against those who understand what the Viper was all about. I love reading the polarizations of the purists. You guys are a riot. Seriously though, the simple point is for the average person there are a...

    Roadster rendered in Autobild

SRT, if you are reading this, PLEASE create a different rear end. I love the GTS/GTS-R rear end, but I also love that the roadsters have always had different rear ends. Don't take the easy way out. Show us you understand the Viper!

    Plastic engine covers look terrible..

The new engine looks like it belongs in a Cadillac Deville.

I'm disappointed in the Gen 5 forum

Precisely! You deserve a medal for this. The problem is over the years non-Viper people have bought Vipers, many of which are members here. They love the Viper, but they don't get it. And for that I say they are not Viper people. You can have all the Viper posters, collectables, and magazines in...

    I hate the press

Repost. Also, it's sarcasm. They are pointing out the insane amounts of horsepower available in different marks.

    Not flattering about new Viper

It's clearly sarcasm hinting at the abundance of absurdly powered cars coming to the market.

Anybody else worried about 1st year production issues?

You just mentioned something I never considered, and you're right. Be careful what you wish for. Targeting higher end clients is going to bring higher-end expectations. With the exception of a few special Viper friendly dealerships, most I wouldn't trust to fill up the wiper fluid reservoir...

    Poll: Fogs or no fogs?

Can someone PLEASE photoshop a solid color onto the GTS-R so we can see what a street version would look like?

Pictures of yellow Viper on Autoblog

First off my comments are directly related to the GTS in yellow. This does not apply to any other pics I've seen. Don't get me wrong, the sides and rear are pure Viper. It's the weird front that gets me. I can't imagine how anyone could look at the front 3/4 and tell me it has beautiful lines...

    Price Announced on Gen V?

I think under $100k for the base and maybe $105-115k for a base GTS. Optioned out $115-125k. Just a guess.

Agree with both of you. Head on front shot, without being told it was a Viper I'd have no clue what it was. Not good. And no point in complaining anymore, the Euro obsession won out and it's time to accept it. Such a shame. At leas the width of the GTS-R makes the nose a little more palatable. :(

A lot of the Gen V I like. But it still doesn't flow to me. There are too many different styling influences. It looks like a frankencar. When I look at the GTS in your photo, it flows beautifully. When I look at the yellow Gen V, it looks funny. I can't quite put my finger on it. Part of the...

    Gen V Spotted

That is the most bogus excuse I've ever heard. Ferrari doesn't have that wheel gap, neither does Lamborghini, Porsche, Mercedes, BMW, etc. etc. etc. Take a look at a 335i BMW. It is slammed from the factory. It would be a huge slap in the face to show the GTS at the auto show lower than it...

What about us Rag Top Guys

Easy, that's the Viper formula. I love that there are two different rear ends on each Gen. I really liked the rear on the Vert, and I liked it on the coupe. Later in life when I'm in a position to own two or more Vipers I would like to have both styles. It's really cool to have two different...

Soft Top with a different rear and a targa top with a coupe rear.

    Actually....

I think that's part of the (perceived) problem. We (most) don't want the Viper to be overproduced over a bunch of different trim levels. Total production for all models should never exceed 1000/year IMO. 1500 MAX.

    Gen V ACR!!!!!!

Forgive me for this, but this looks like a car someone with a Guy Harvey tank top, solid gold Rolex, and a Dale Earnhardt tattoo would drive. What is happening to the Viper nation? These Godaweful tacky mods need to end. Give me the Dolphin Viper over this any day. (BTW I like the Gen V) On a...

The all-new 2013 SRT Viper: redefining the American Supercar... From Dupont Registry

Re: The all-new 2013 SRT Viper: redefining the American Supercar... From Dupont Regis Why the **** does everyone keep calling this a supercar? I feel like I'm taking crazy pills. Next thing I know the CLS mercedes will be a sports car and the Ram 1500 will be an 18 wheeler. What kind of world...
