THe more I see the new Viper the more my feelings reverse. I really like the rear but the front looks strange. Definitely not Viper-ish to me.
Defining "Viper-ish". If there were no badges on, and if I'd never seen the SRT-10 (GenIII) or the SRT GTS (Gen V), and both were driving towards me...
I'm 6'6" 265. The original GTS was tight, the SRT coupe was miserable, the new GTS looks refreshing. I think that extra few inches is really going to help!
Yeah but if time and money permit, building your brand as a car manufacturer, coach builder, and body kit maker could pan out. You have the falcon, then the trunk tops and SS kits, and then you could semi-coach build on the Viper platform to create your own interpretation...similar to Reeves...
I just hope that in addition to your reimagined Gen V you still do a SS style Gen 5 with the GTS-R bodykit for the poor people who can't afford (or don't want) a new roofline and windshield.
You better watch out. A lot of members on this forum have some pretty ghetto wheels. Their feelings might get hurt.
And if it wasn't obvious enough, this guy is being sarcastic.
It's really grown on me and overall I love it. I can't wait to see it in different colors.
Austin's photoshop of the "blue steel" GTS is what sold me.
That is all.
I personally think there will be an ACR. One of four different scenarios.
1. ACR - same kind of upgrades as current style ACR
2. ACR - widebody GTS-R style
3. ACR & GTS-R - ACR like the current and then the widebody GTS-R to slot in above that
4. GTS-R name gets used and no ACR
I agree. The beauty of a 8.4 liter V10 is that it can afford to be naturally aspirated. Why take the easy way out and supercharge it? Leave that to the aftermarket. There's plenty of room in the future to get this motor well into the 700s NA.
Well said.
I do agree some people are going over the top bashing it and I do wish those people would stop, but there is also a lot of constructive criticism. Constructive criticism that the cheerleaders here cannot bare. Both extremes need to calm down.
SRT needs to outsource wheel designs. Seriously. The razor wheels were by far the least popular and most hated wheels for the SRT-10. Some people like them, I know, but overall they were despised. Ralph stated he loved the razors. Then we have the SRT8 Jeep. Same thing. The majority dislike the...
It's not at all ugly. It's just incomplete.
Seeing the pic of it next to the GTS-R on the track epitomizes what I am getting at. It looks tame, mundane, and watered down. There are a lot of great things about the new design, but no one can argue that this is considered an "aggressive" look. I...
I still can't understand why they took the tail lights to the full width of the car on the GTS. It totally screws up the width perception. That vent below the lights should have extended the entire height/outer edge of the tails, like on the GTS-R.
Stupid Stupid mistake that makes the rear of...
