I'm not saying it isn't a good looking car.
I'm saying that it doesn't look like a Viper. It looks like a Euro nut swinger got behind the helm and designed a Euro wannabe Viper instead of the proud-in-your-face ethnocentric-obnoxious-American design we all love. Now it could look a whole lot...
To the people who didn't figure the joke out, make sure you go buy that blinker fluid! Also make sure you use a left handed screwdriver to get the cap off. SMH lol
I know it's too early to make final judgement but that is stupid if that's why SRT made the Viper the same. The Jeep SRT8 is Chrysler's flagship SUV. It's over $60k and putting some childish hood scoop on it would take away the classiness IMO. That's why they did it (should have IMO). The Viper...
Can someone please put some hips on one of these renderings? Ever since the Alfa comparison years ago ever render has flat sides and a narrow/stubby butt. Extend the back and put bolder rear fenders on it.
The Viper looks extremely gay in this render.
I don't think Ferrari and SRT being part of FIAT will limit the Viper one bit. They are in completely different markets and do not even remotely appeal to the same buyers. That doesn't mean that someone buying an F12 wouldn't also buy a Viper, it means they wouldn't be considering one or the...
hopefully not very similar. The 599 was a beautiful car but had very standard proportions and was not exotic looking. The new F12 looks like a confused out of wedlock child of 599-California parents. The GTS Viper (IN IT"S PRIME, the looks is dated now) was a much more exotic looking car than...
Bingo. Veyron tires were specially formulated to not melt at such high speeds. Even then, you can only run it at top speed for a very short time before the structure begins to break down
Because the reveal will have a production ready model than can be sat in and felt, hood popped, etc. At least that's what I thought. If it's only a concept and not completed design I would be pissed!
For me it's all part of the fun surrounding a new car reveal. It's better to have lower expectations and be blown away than have high expectations and be disappointed. I had very high expectations for the SRT8 Jeep and was let down. Don't get me wrong, it's an amazing machine. I will still...
I just hope it's at least 2-3" wider than the widest Vette in the rear. The vette is just a sports car. The Viper is (supposed to be) an exotic. Exotics are low and wide.
The Viper ranks have been tainted by a large percentage of people who don't truly understand (or like) (or care) what it is/was really about. That is why all the cries for TC, Stability Control, nicer interior, more comfort, etc. All IMHO
I don't want to be cocky but it seems like SRT read both Jeep and Viper forums and took many of my suggestions. 2 or 3 years ago I was the only one harping on the clam shell issue. My recommendation to make it more practical was to follow the SLR's model. Same goes for the SRT8 Jeep, from the...
While I am not a fan of big wheels on sports cars I think it will be 19/20s. I will be very disappointed if it's 20/20. One thing for certain, I'd like to see some 365's in the rear. The Viper always had steam rollers and it seems Corvette has gotten very close. Time to up the width!
As far...
I just wanted to say your car is beautiful! Very classy and tastefully done.
Regarding side exhaust, I'm glad it's returning. I just hope SRT doesn't put those gay patches around the pipes (like the GenIII/IV) and instead goes for the "smooth" look
I will be VERY disappointed if Ralph got any inspiration from ANY Euro turds. All of Ralph's inspiration better have come from a raw and brute American exotic. I'm sick of people whining and complaining about wanting the Viper being something it's not. Once and for all, stop trying to turn cars...
Are you sure you didn't get this backwards? Last time I checked the SRT coupe is the Viper with a trunker (trunk mixed with bumper) leading to huge awkward lines in the back. I hope SRT goes back to the GTS style and has only the glass pop up.
