My Uncle has a 2012 Turbo S cab and those things are VICIOUS off the line. He took me for a ride two weeks ago. Literally took my breath away.
Viper did a lot better than I thought it would. Nice video BTW!
It's a supercar guys, what do you expect? It's about time they caught up with the exotics and sports cars whooping their asses. Good for the 918. Also, don't forget that this is Porsche's home turf, imagine the times they could get out of even a stock Gen V if they spent 2 years tuning for and...
It's about time supercars started being fast again. Sports cars and exotics like the Viper, GTR, and ZR1 have been waxing supercars for some time now (Carrera GT, Enzo, MC12).
If the P1 really does do what they claim that's damn impressive. I don't expect the Viper to beat it. It would be...
Hmm. I took one look in it and decided not to try and sit in it. After my traumatic Gallardo experience (sarcasm) I'm hesitant to squeeze into little cars. It must be deceiving then. Next time I see the guy I'm gonna hop in it.
True but that has always been the case, or at least for a LONG time. The Viper's entire platform was the best (performance) for a fraction of the cost. It wasn't until Lutz left and joined GM (Z06 was his baby) that the Viper started losing ground. The Viper was the Corvette, Ferrari, Porsche...
We need Bob Lutz out of retirement. Put Gilles under him and let Gilles handle the refinement category. Give Lutz the performance hammer. Cue the return of the King.
Not for long. We are being overrun my yuppy liberals freeing their broke liberal states. I can't count the numerous people I've met from California and all over the East Coast moving to Houston over the past 4-5 years. First thing I tell them is welcome, and please do not vote on the state/local...
Definitely someone from the forum making at joke at people who expected more from the SRT Viper. Obviously all in good fun. Pretty damn funny if you ask me.
Nice! The problem with the McLaren is it's a tiny car. The 458 can fit a 6'8" driver somewhat comfortably. I doubt a 6'3" driver could get into the McLaren. Gallardo not a chance.
True but Porsche and Lambo manage to meet every single expectation of their customers. SRT managed to meet a lot, but there are still quite a few left out. I don't see a lot of "man I wish manufacturer X would have given us this". Why? Because manufacturer X already did give them "this".
Just...
Well said. Like in other social situations, 3/4 of a group are are ruining it for the remaining 1/4. Don't get mad at non-Prius people for stereotyping Prius drivers, be mad at the majority of Prius drivers we experience that give y'all a bad name.
Please tell me this is confirmed. Haven't put a plate on my SRT Jeep yet and was considering it because I don't want to be harassed after I've had a beer with dinner.
Re: " The new Viper is exotic and curvy, but the glory days are gone at least by sale
I'm not here to bash only relay my thoughts. I know it's a touchy subject and I know it's been beat to death. It's the performance issue. Yes yes I know the Gen V does in fact kick ass, but the bar has been...
I'd rather have a kick ass pricey Viper sedan than some brand diluting baby "Viper". There's only one Viper, and it better have a V10. Enough compromises were already made.
