I'm no mustang fan (last mustang I owned was a 1995 Cobra that I bought new in 1994, with 240hp lol) , but man the New 650hp GT500 has already done 202mph for gods sake. Hard to argue with a car for 55K that does over 200mph and it's stock!
My 1995 cobra had a hard time doing 140mph!
hehe:)
Striker heads/cam/paxton car making 873 rwhp on the stock "week" Cream puff pistons too:) This weekend I plan on doing a pully swap and shooting for 950+ rwhp.
here is one with some reving

From a marketing standpoint it's not going to look good that you can buy a mustang for half the price with the same power if they only have a bump to 650 hp also. The ZR1 is going to have the same problem, the gen 5 Viper and the C7 ZR1 need to be at least 750hp IMO. And even then there may be...
Ford just announced the pricing on the 2013 650hp GT500 at $54,999. The new Viper better have at least 100 more to go with the price tag thats sure to be at least twice that.

On a SRT-10 truck with disappointing results. The Guy only picked up about 70 rwhp (441 to 512) and that was with also adding long tube headers to the kit. And it only picked up 4 ft/lb of TQ. Seems like allot of money for those gains. Doing Striker heads, Cam, Headers, Tune on my gen 2 gave...
I'm looking to go from the 3.25" pulley I'm running now to a 3". Has anybody done this with out up-grading the BOV? How about the Paxton crank pinning? will I need to pin the crank with thicker pins?
What will be very interesting will be how much power will it make with a big cam and headers (maby even porting the heads). Then we will know how much power a Gen 4 would make IF anybody ever cracks the ECU.
Good Example of the difference between what works on paper and what works on a car being quite different. Those fuel calculators have always seemed to be quite conservative IMO. If you take a car like the Dodge stealth and plug them into it the cars stock injectors cant even support the power...
The KB boost-a-pump is a volt booster that brings the V up to 18V on the power line to the stock pump when I get into boost.
I'm using the SCT tuner, with a E-mail tune from DC performance. I got the Side feed injectors from DC I dont remember what brand they were.
I had to play with the FMU disks a bit to get everything right. I bought the FMU tuner kit with all the Disks. It was a wile back but I think I ended up with the 4 to 1 FMU disk in there I'll need to check what disk in missing out of the kit. I change it so many times I cant remember lol. But I...
If you want a tire that HOOKS in your stock 335/30R18 and 275/35R18's, you may want to think about the Toyo 888R's. I run these on my C4 ZR1 in those sizes now granted the car only put 399 hp to the wheels but after taking off my PS's and putting on the 888R's the first time I launched it I...
My heads/cam/paxton car is making 873 rwhp on the stock lines. I'm running the stock in tank pump with a KB boost-a-pump on it and the 2 Walbro HP 255 pumps in line and Paxton FMU, with 46lb/min injectors in the stock location.
You will love it, I have buddy that has a Stock heads/cam Twin turbo 97 GTS, it makes 941 RWHP. Not only will my car destroy him in a race, it's just flat way more fun to drive. His car feels like a stock car till you get way up in the RPM band and as soon as all hell brakes loose it's time to...
I'm running Striker heads/ cam (heads shaved to 11.1 to 1 comp) on my 2001 GTS with a paxton with a 3.25" pulley (I think thats "called" a 14psi pulley), on my car it only makes 6.5psi but the car put down 873 rwhp. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this set-up, the motor makes big power all on it's own and the...
