3.33's did not make my car faster...
Trap speed goes up because you’re using your torque band more efficiently. With a 3.55 you’re in the strong torque band in the traps in 4th gear. With a 3.07 your way past it just trying to get through traps without shifting out of 3rd.- pauls

Whatever your research, having a sixth gear that you can cruise with is worth the money. If you do the math more gear= more torque on tap. harnessed it will propel you faster!- pauls

What if the Viper Nationals doesn't get 4 cars in the 8s?
I've been asked by several people what if I come and we don't get three other cars in the 8s? The answer was you will run in the index program with the rest of the Vipers. We did have a $150 prize for Low ET. After discussions with the VCA Region we will still have you race in the index...- pauls

3.55 Gear Question
3.55 will definately improve your 1/4 mile if you have slicks or drag radials. Gears multiply torque, more torque spins tires so street tires are tougher to use. If you have a NA combination and are willing to invest in tractions you'll see a big difference. As mentioned they are best bang...- pauls
