How about the fuel filter? That has two quick connect connections that could leak. And the only way to inspect it is to remove the driver's side rear splash panel.
Pedal feel is good. Less spongy. (But that is subjective)
I decided to do the Gen2 rears vs. SRT so that the original balance would be somewhat preserved. With ABS, I think I'm in good shape.
Take a look at the Random Tech muffler delete at Partsrack.

You can't beat that price to make the car sound a lot better, and it is not too difficult to put on. You can then upgrade to a full 3" cat back later...
Roe sells replacement rotors for the Gen 2 made by the same supplier as for the SRT upgrade. So, they stock the exact same rotor in 13". Here is the link. You will need the rotor, rotor hat, and bolt kit...
I finished my brake upgrade this weekend. I put Roe's SRT front brake upgrade on the front, and moved the stock Gen 2 fronts to the rear using Dave's kit. I'm going to upgrade to Forgeline wheels next month, but for now I've still got the stock wheels. Roe’s package comes with his own slotted...
So, you had a car that ran well. Then the fuel pump relay fails and the car is dead, presumably with no fuel pressure. You replaced the whole box containing the relay, and now it runs but misfires at high temp?
It seems everything is the same from when the car was running well except the...
I got my replacement at Wal-Mart for about $50. Has performed well for 2 years, even when the car is not started for 2 weeks during the winter.
Determining the "freshness" of a battery is sometimes difficult. Never buy a battery that is MORE than SIX months old because it is starting to...
I was just looking at your build log. Good Job!!! I have the RT high flow cats, and the temp is much cooler now than before, even with my Roe SC. So, If it is real hot at the PCM, something is up. Are you running the stock PCM?
Plug wires would just be an obvious next check. In the electronics...
Could be a lot of things. I'm in the electronics industry, and I can tell you that most devices can take 200 deg F with no problem, and are rated to 185F. So, 185F would not concern me too much.
I would start with the connectors going to the PCM, and the power distribution center. Get some...
Check for a separate warranty on the new engine. Find out who rebuilt the engine. Do not buy the car unless you have someone who REALLY knows Vipers check it out with you. You need to look for frame damage / wreck signs. Chuck Tator will run the VIN for you through Dodge's system. Call him...
I just upgraded my V1 for POP radar. There is a speed trap in downtown Indy where the officer uses a gun that I assumed was POP since I did not get a peep out of the old V1. Even with the upgraded V1, I still did not get any notification as the officer pulls over people right in front of me...
ViperSpray recommended this for my rear lift gate. The latch came unglued. The Plastic Welder does not list glass, but I would guess that it will work with glass on metal. It does have a good shear strength of 3500 psi and a working temp of -40 to +200 F. I got it at WalMart, but have not used...
I'm doing Roe's upgrade to SRT brakes in the front of my 01 GTS. I know Dave offers a kit to move the existing 13" front rotor and caliper to the rear. Anyone else offer such a relo package? I'm researching my options.
Anyone else do this? Results?
Thanks!
Some here are racers, and some are not. I understand that the racer wants a level playing field, and to reward the best driver vs. the best car. But, most of us are not racers and ABS can make it safer, and less expensive when we do occasionally track the car. It's not much fun to flat spot...
I bought an 01 to get ABS. The main reason was to prevent flatspotting the tires when I track the car. Now I'm upgrading the brake calipers and rotors to Gen III to get SRT level braking.
The specs came from Michelin's table, not a calculator. So, I don't think it's a math error. Interestingly, the Kumho 345/35 ZR18 calls for a rim width range of 11.5-13.5".
I'm getting ready to buy new wheels and tires. I've been looking at options, and have found some puzzling specs at Michelin and Tire Rack. Here's what I found, someone let me know where If I got something wrong.
OEM Front tire: 275/35/18 Pilot Sport
OEM Rear tire: 335/30/18 Pilot Sport
