I have a music degree... ...so naturally it took me a little longer... :lmao:
When you pre-register for Carlisle, just select the "Young Guns" display area - they have a special area set up for people from 16-25. I saw the display last year - most were kinda junkers. I'd have to admit...
Dang right!! It irritates me that the Carlisle "Young Guns" display is limited to owners 25 and under. I'll bet there are VERY few 30-year-old Viper owners, especially ones who actually bought it themselves (as opposed to being given to them by "mommy or daddy.") :)
Jeff
Sorry Jon - Typo. I meant "DD" or "Daily Driver." I went a little redundant on the D's there!
(Then again, I guess one can never have too many D's....) ;)
Carmen,
Yes you did and I thank you. I don't mean to come across as being angry. I did ask the same question about Carlisle just last week before the Philly cruise and didn't hear back. It's coming up soon and I'm just trying to get a feel for things and be prepared because things could be...
Cool Vman - thanks. Ya know, chrome with smoked lenses should work too - give better reflection through the tint.
I'm ordering right now. Happy 30th Birthday to Me!
Yeah Jeff, I've been thinking I need to do that. Hard to believe, but finding a level lot with a clear wall surface in front of it out here in Rural Ohio is near-to impossible!!! At least, that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!
Juli,
I don't actually have the HID's - just standard...
Wait, sorry - I'm late to this thread...
Does that mean I can just get the smoked lens cover, use the factory housing and paint it black? Do the housing and lens just snap together?
I'm thinking that with the tinted headlights, tinted corners would just add to the sinister look...
Jeff
Does this mean that you can install the Eibach springs without the need for revalving or replacing the factory shocks? I read that they can be adjusted, and I assume I can find more info on this - just wondering if I understand correctly. On my DD driver, I have to replace the shocks as they...
It's alright - when I drive at night, people are always flashing their brights at me, even when I DON'T have mine on. I don't know if it's the headlights or the fogs, but apparently I'm bright as hell comin' at ya. So I figured if nothing else, the tints will cut down on the glare for other...
I can't post in the PA forum and I can't get the president to respond to me... :dunno: Gotta admit it dampens my interest to spend over $100 to "join the club."
I'm just trying to figure out what it'll cost me - what expenses are involved with being part of the Viper field with the VCA.
I'd do the fog lights black, but I'm concerned about night driving - if I could do some sort of a temporary piece that could come off easily at night, and reapply easily, that'd be great. My other thought was to tuck some aftermarket road lamps inside the grill that wouldn't be visible at...
Part has been repaired. It should be MUCH stronger than it was before - gusseted and wrapped in weld - very well done.
Price? Free. The advantages of working on a construction site and having the respect of your contractors... :)
Jeff
If I may, the art of turning your own Car into a CARS character was pretty popular after the movie came out - one of my all-time favorite movies, BTW... I didn't have a Viper then but I did have this...
I named him Parrin.... As in, Moe Parrin'.... :)
Jeff
The decision is probably not in Dodge's hands, but the bankruptcy rulings. You're going against the LAW this time.
But I have to agree with Dom426h - it might not be the same for ol' Chuck, but I still think he's going to do just fine.
Jeff
That was going to be my next question - does anyone know what type of metal it is... it looks unpainted, so I'd have to presume that it's stainless as it's not covered in rust. (I got pictures with my cell phone, but they don't give THAT much detail.)
I've been calling a few exhaust shops...
Wheels are my next endeavour, except I want at least a chrome strip around the edge to break it up just a little bit. Problem is, I can't find a place online to let me look at and shop for wheels for the Viper. Any ideas?
Silly that I didn't think of that... I should be able to get that bar and the tabs removed from under the vehicle, take it to an exhaust shop and have them weld it back together, then reinstall it myself...
Duh...
Jeff
Hey all,
I think I found the source of my noise coming from the rear:
The "Lateral Adjustment Bar" shown above runs across the top of the tubes and has two little tabs that extend from it, which bolt to brackets on the tubes themselves. Not all-too surprisingly, the tabs have sheared...
I don't drive it much at night at all, so I don't know yet. I'm actually thinking of leaving the fogs clear (I have enough material left to cover them) to have some extra light available for night driving. My other idea is to get a pair of road lamps from AutoZone (or similar) and tucking them...
I kept thinking this would make my Viper look a little more aggressive, while making me appreciate the black a little more...
...I think I was right!
I like it!
