Hmmmmmm...Interresting & good find/info! That was the main reason I went to the Mopar ECU. Even if it doesn't hold the setting and "learns" the correct range after a while - it only takes seconds to reprogram & the small wood block stores easily in the trunk with the tire kit.

No stock hard top for Gen1 - only Gen2. Gen1's are all aftermarket - therefore "modified" to fit the Gen1. PM jtiff - I believe he had an AutoForm on his `93. It is the "bubble/toupe" style that gives you more headroom - something to consider if you are over 5'10".
Salvage Viper 1st - turned into a rental. Point is to use cars that do not have collectibility, significant historical value, etc. Kind of like a 2nd chance for the wrecked cars. Unfortunately any exotic in the hands of a renter have a very high rate of becoming a pile of parts. There is a...
You are very correct. Cars like the Ferrari 599 & 458 have some of the most sophisticated traction and stability control systems in the world that make those cars safer & easy for the novice to drive. Once those systems are defeated by the novice driver they are better off in a Viper...
One of the 1st race only ACR's (pre-ACRx) was a rebuilt wreck that out performed most of the Comp Coupes. You are 100% correct regarding the driver. Unfortunately it falls to folk's moral beliefs & rather or not one man should tell another man what to do or how to live their lives. (EX: No...
Schweet!!!!! Shoot me a PM with details - I have no roblem with that at all. Once I go this route it's just as easy to make 10 as it is 1.....different colors, materials, etc..... Gonna put my momma to work!
The ACR(x) track is a simple concept. Set it up as a fly & drive were the car is trailered to the track, topped off with fuel. Has enough brake pads for 10 sessions (you only get 8 at Viper Days over 2 days) and a new set of tires (renter's choice). Renter pays for tires, 1/3 set of brake...
Ok - here is my not so original "idea". Everyone throws a fit over wrecked cars (any make/model) saying they are junk, worthless, good for parts only, etc. We all know of the Rent-a-Wreck company and that they found success renting out repaired "wrecks".
Why not apply this to exotics? Buy...
Looking for a Tonneau cover for a Gen 1. The better the condition the better... (does that sound right ?) Even if you have one that's trashed I'd be interrested to use it as a pattern.
Thanks!
Re: Anyone have Stoptechs on a gen I / II and need install instructions for your file
I'll take the soft copies! StopTech tech support is awesome!!! I received some brackets with the L/R stickers reversed..... Made for a very interresting install :omg:
Damnit!!! Little terd is too much like his father... :omg:
Still have books left for sale? I wonder if folks in the other regions would be interrested?
Just a thought I've been pondering for a bit: Would there be any interest in renting a Viper?
Without getting off in the weeds concerning, insurance, liability, renters beating the hell out of the car, etc. Just a few simple questions:
1 - Is there any interest in renting a Viper?
2 -...
If you find a Gen1 top you like for sale - buy it!!! If the only fitment problem(s) are mounting/latching HW, that can be replaced. So long as the fiberglass fits, the rest can be modified. Find a `94 in your area, meet up and compare cars side/by side.
What kind of top? AutoForm, Lemke, etc?
It's because the Canadian money falls apart. I thought it was a "tooney" because it was 2 looneys, not because the middle fell out and you had 2 coins.....
I'm J/K, being a smarty pants. I studied the Canadian UAW a bunch in labor relations classes & we all love the Ford Windsor engines!
Give them a call - they are a very small group of folks that put this on. Being a Viper & SRT-300 owner, they will probably make accommodations.
BTW: A little tip - if you can go to a Friday event they usually have less than half the drivers of the Sat/Sun events. This means MORE track...
Dave - one of the local girls in your area has some inspirational words to get you thru the repairs & back on the road:

I think the Gen1 more fits the bill, sadly. But hey, if they get their butt kicked with a clown shoe - they either have a very large butt or are going to get one helluva butt kickin :D
No more parking in the center rows at a car show. It's off the back with the other Mustangs. If you were after a drag strip car or daily driver the move makes since, other than those 2 reasons I'm dumbfounded. Reminds me of those conversations with friends that sell out and buy...
