I'm starting to notice the same thing. I saw a small spot in the garage also. I'll have to get under there and really trace it. Mite be just the gasket, but I am thinking that it is the pan porosity syndrome. Such a pain.....:(
The number #91 was taken by another car in the ACO sanctioned events. The #53 will get its 91 number back once it returns back to the U.S. for the rest of the ALMS.
Yes, it really does take a lot of effort to get the trunk closed. I've seen several vipers sitting in showrooms with the trunks cracked open. I know it sounds silly, but check it out for yourselves.....
The trunk doesn't appear to be fully closed. Strangely enough this has been a common "problem" where I've seen many new vipers on display with the trunk not fully closed. When I looked at a few in person, people seem to struggle getting it to close all the way because the trunk panel is so light!
Buy new tires. Store the old ones if you want the originals for some future show purpose. Even if you don't drive the car often, the difference is huge in terms of comfort and control. I intend to replace my tires whenever they get too old as a maintenance item on a specialized vehicle. Yes...

I only got one lap on tape. I saw a few Go Pro cams out there.
This is from the car ahead of me, by chance. Any others?

I was wondering if anyone got any good footage from the club parade lap at Laguna Seca this year. Has anyone else posted anything? My Camera man only got one lap, so here is what I got.

I just made the swap from stock to 3.54's on my Gen 2 with 19" wheels. It definitely transforms the car in a positive way. I can't imagine using the 3.73 gear set. I feel that it will just spin the motor too much, chomp on fuel even more, and necessitate a whole lot of unnecessary shifting...
Honestly, I fiddled with all of those items, but it wasn't until I replaced my faulty engine temperature sensor that it all went away. Almost two years now, still no idle hang. (knock on wood)
Here's a good shot of a production spec SRT interior in the base model with no options added. (The adrenalin red launch cars have the full leather seat option as well as the red seat belts installed)...
Wow, did not realize this would turn into a let's all bash on SRT thread. Oh well. I thought it was nice to see a few non red or LE cars out there for a change.....
Thanks for the insightful race sum up datonprowler. I was present at the race Saturday and saw this all unfold. Anyone who criticizes any of the current SRT drivers obviously doesn't follow sports car racing very closely. These guys are serious professionals. The GT class in the ALMS is one of...
I am 5'9 190lbs ( all muscle.....) and the Gen-V does fell tighter than my Gen-2. Visibility is also less overall. Getting in and out seems a tad harder, but maybe I was tired that day. In any event, few cars are perfect, and you have to get used to the quirks of a particular ride. If you...
My heavens, I love these cars....They are all amazingly sexy in their own way. I get excited when I see any of them still, even though there is one in the garage. Bravo Dodge. Bravo SRT (Dodge by any other name melting rubber, just the same):headbang:
You will be one happy camper. Those original tires were like driving on hockey pucks for sure. You will be simply amazed at how far tire technology has come. The car will be transformed. Don't get too cocky....Lol.
Ah, thanks for the clarification. Yeah it seems like the slotted rotors from the track pack should be standard and the even larger rotors from the TA should be included in the track pack instead.....
I like the five spokes. They make this color combo kinda pop. I'd love to have one jus like it. The UC college system is getting my money for now, so I'll have to wait. :-(
