Have you tried tightening the top? Take a 1/4'' drive rachet with a 10mm socket and remove the hold-down clamp. You should be able to move the c-clip one notch to tighten the top. It worked for me.
Re: Saw 2 RT/10\'s and a GTS in Florida City....Anyone here???
What you saw was a small part of the South Florida Viper Club coming back from a weekend in Key West.
Based on a suggestion from my Camaro's owners manual I use dielectric grease on the rubber where it meets the body on both my Viper and SS convertable with excellent results. Cloud bursts are no problem but 4hrs. of steady rain may bring a few drops in. Make sure your front latches are adjusted...
Hi John,
I have a 94 with a 97 top. I've drove in gullywasher downpours since I moved to Florida and no leaks. I belive the secret is something I got out my Camaro SS convertable owners manual. Dieletric Grease. Per their advice I put a thin coat where rubber meets the body. So far so good.
I live in Florida and use my soft top all the time. Like anything else practice makes perfect. I was heading to Miami last Saturday for that Viper meeting, coming across Rt. 75, when I had to stop and put the top on for some HEAVY rain. Took two minutes and didn't get one drop in the car. Love...
Has anyone tried Duracool 12a refridgerant? Supposedly it is:
— Non-Toxic
— Non-Ozone Depleting
— Non-Global Warming
— Non-Corrosive
— UP TO 35% MORE EFFICIENT THAN 134a
Anyone tried it?
Well slaughterj, if you get down this way stop off at Sanibel Island and I'll buy the first drink. The one thing I ask is when you stop to pay the toll to come on the island don't let them know your a lawyer. Just kidding.

I've had my car almost 8 years and every other Gen 1 owner that I meet has had trouble every now and then with the glovebox. Part of the character of the car I guess.
Went to a South Florida Viper club cruise and get-together today in Naples FL. Out of 15 Vipers that attended I was the only RED RT/10. Who would of thought that could happen.
I did the same exact thing a few weeks ago, even did it at a banks drive thru window. Some body shops I talked to wanted to use filler.I finally found a guy that reworked the aluminum and it came out PERFECT. And he was the cheapest price. Moral: Not all body shops are created equal.
My 94 was Arrowed in 1995. I've put about 15,000 miles on it since then. It runs great and I see no green drops but boy I see the dried tracks under the heads on the block.
Hi Chuck,
Two that I know of in your backyard.
Rim and Tire Works

The other one is in Auburn,MA near Worcester. I think it is called Auburn Wheel.
Hi Todd,
I had the same problem here in Florida and added a vacuum reservior in line per LucNoel on our web page. Not a problem anymore. Check the archives.
The 94 soft top is a piece of junk. If your going to buy a top go with the updated 96/97 top. Like night and day. My 94 top sits in the storage area. I wouldn't sell that air leaking, hard to use top to my worse enemy. Just my two cents.
The owners manual on my new Camaro SS convertable suggests using Dielectric Grease on all rubber gasket surfaces on the top and doors. I tried it on my 94 and water leakage was just about eliminated. Thank you General Motors for a $2.00 dollar solution that worked.
My 94 sometimes makes a "pop" noise when I back out of the garage and turn the steering wheel to the right. I looked it over real good, top and bottom, but found nothing wrong.
While changing plugs No. 1 will only go back in halfway. Tried a sparkplug chase and a proper size tap but no success they stop halfway also. Scared to death with this aluminum. Any ideas?
I used Water Wetter once and about two days later I lost the passenger side head gasket. Yes, I know it probably was about to go anyways but I've never used it since. I live in Florida where it gets pretty hot. I run just to the left of straight up and the way I do that is that I burp the system...
