You will not like the Gen IV compared to the C7 if you are used to the current techology in the C7. C7 and Gen V are both great cars, but a big price difference between the two. I have driven both and prefer the Viper, but for the price difference the C7 should be considered.
I have a full set of wheels and tires for sale if you don't have any other options, tires are almost new. I can come to you if you are stranded somewhere with a jack and tools to put them on.
What is classified as "Advanced" level? Solo qualified? Fast times at other tracks? I know a few Houston area members that might be interested, including myself. Thanks-
The cars really look similar from the front. Good comparo white to white.
My next door neighbor got a Premier edition C7 10 days ago. We did the same thing with his car and my gen IV ACR (sorry, no pics). Made my car look dated, and his sat too high. I really don't care for the rear of the...
You and I should have run together to see if there was any difference in our lap times since I didn't time any. I passed Cody a couple of times, I'm not sure if they were his in or out laps though.
Don't worry about it, buy it if you want it. You will get attention in it, it will take getting used to. I am not a "showy" person either. SSG ACR is even worse.
You know the saying, once you go ACR, you never go back...... ;)
Seriously though, I did not purchase due to the following:
1.) Cost - I would have been trading my gen IV ACR plus adding 35-75k in cash.
2.) Styling - much less aggressive than gen IV ACR
3.) Resale / future value - I think the...
The ACR is way more stiff than any other Viper out there, regardless of where you set the stock shocks or the tires you use. You will get more used to it over time, but it will still be stiff. I don't have any experience with aftermarket shocks, but have used street tires which softened up the...
Thanks for the update Tim (glad you are ok), I was wondering how the twin to my car was doing! Now if we could find the third one made in 2009, we would know where all of them are.... :)
Good advice on the mesh protection! I already added the rear knuckle protection to my car, the mesh will...
We are not going to make it out there Kurt, y'all have fun!
I still run 0W-40 in my car since I only track about once a year, and do most of my driving in the early morning while the roads are clear and others are sleeping... :)
Sorry, you have no chance in a Gen II. I have a 6'9" friend who has been in my gen II, III, and IV before, gen II was the worst, couldn't even get him behind the wheel and barely into the passenger seat. I got him in the passenger seat of the gen III and IV, but it was not comfortable.
