    New Viper Owner

I ordered them through Tire Rack. I did most of the leg work on line then spoke by phone with a rep to finalize the order. This goes back a few years. As I recall, the rep’s first name was Dustin. He was very polite and helpful. They shipped the tires directly to my dealer who did the install...

    New Viper Owner

I called him once, never again and managed to get tires very easily and quickly. My view, why take an attitude from someone who is basically working for you. There are many experts in their field who don’t have an attitude issue.

    Insurance Question for the Group:

You would need to provide evidence to support your requested agreed value and you will then pay more in premiums if your insurance company agrees with your requested amount. Going from $4.5k to $70k will be more than a “few hundred” dollars a year, lol. Also, there aren’t many insurers that...

    Insurance Question for the Group:

Going without insurance completely is of course self insuring. Deciding not to insure a portion of a risk is also a form of self insurance. Different people have different risk tolerances. Self insuring risks that can be quantified can be an effective way to save money but yes, it’s not for...

    Insurance Question for the Group:

Wrong. It’s common practice for auto lenders to specify a maximum permitted insurance deductible in their loan documents. Why would they not do so? The car is their collateral. Of course, the agreed upon value cannot be any number and is typically supported by an appraisal. I didn’t say...

    Insurance Question for the Group:

There are several interesting points in this thread. As mentioned, the premiums stated sound way too low and may be for a 6 month period, not a year. An appraiser is recommending a $600 appraisal, how surprising. Agreed value costs more than a normal policy, which pays (in the event of a total...

    Insurance Question for the Group:

The premiums being quoted are for a year and not a 6 month period? Most auto insurance periods are now 6 months and these quotes sound very low.

    Just cleaned.

I tried Turtle Wax Ceramic spray on one of my other cars and liked it. It was easy to use, and it can be used on almost any car surface, including glass. Very nice shine afterwards. It will be interesting to see how it holds up. I will be using it on my viper.

Just curious, what type of battery came with my '04 from the factory? Was it an AGM?

    Battery maintainer/tender?

I have been using Battery Tender Plus for about 20 years. Pretty much attach it and forget about it. The original factory battery on my O4 lasted for 15 years.
