\'03 OTC 7 tracks in 7 days comin\' soon......
The Open Track Challenge is just over 2 weeks away. For those of you who don't know about it, it is the west coast version of One Lap of America (only better). Still time to enter if anyone wants to, all info is at www.opentrackchallenge.com , basiclly it's a bunch of track junkies who race a particular track during the day drive during the night to the next track, race all day, drive all night, well you got the idea. You have 2 person teams co-driving and you are classed according to your car & mods, 4 Touring groups T1 thru T4 (street tire division) and 4 Unlimited groups U1 thru U4 (race rubber) and 2 tube chassis classes. As far as I know there are only 2 Vipers entered John (SSpeed Racer) Dearing and myself in John's fairly stock '02 GTS in T1 and Paul (PMUM) Mumford & friend in Paul's Competition Coupe in U1. I think there are about a dozen Vettes entered with 5-6 being in our T1 class INCLUDING a Mosler Photon (Vette frame & motor) driven by Rupert Bragg-Smith. Check out the website proposed tracks are:

4/7 Las Vegas Motor Spwy. (ALMS conf.)
4/8 Buttonwillow
4/9 Thunderhill (CCW)
4/10 Thill again (CW, we were supposed to get Infineon but got screwed)
4/11 Willow Springs International Raceway
4/12 LVMS Club Course (aka Derrick Daily course)
OTC is saying lap times will be shown on their website in "real time" if the track has the capabilities, should be a hoot.
