04 SRT10 Radio 6 CD Changer help

Hi guys help please, does anyone know if the radio from an 04 Mamba is coded with a four digit code or is the radio matched to the vehicle VIN like the crap dealer told me????

the radio gets the VIN from the body controller so it knows what EQ curves to load. But then, all Chrysler radios do this.
