05 vs 08 viper

I'm considering the purchase of either an 05 viper yellow with 17k miles for 42k or an 08 viper venom red with 7k miles for 50k, both stock. I know of the changes in 08 and would prefer the yellow but would like to hear what the viper experts have to say that is a better deal. Thanks

I would guess you already know, can't get the yellow with an 08

So it comes down to driving what you want, get the 05

Yellow Vipers were not made every year. Last year I know of is 2016

Race yellow appeared in 01, 02, 05, and 06. I KNOW that they also made five yellow convertibles in 2010...as ACR's.

Thanks, going to check out an 05 vca commemorative. I noticed someone posted an 04 vs 09, seems like the vote goes to the 09 for the upgrades. I haven't driven an 08/09 but would 8k extra be worth the upgrades?

In general...yes. That said, for regular street driving, one is just as much fin as the other. Go for condition, then a little extra performance if it fits the budget. I regularly drive all gens...the fun factor is always there while comfort and performance do vary.

Either would work, but an 08 at 50K is super low ------ would sure check out a lot. A low mileage convertible at that price would be very attractive. Retail price is almost too low , so do your due diligence.

Go with 2008. Is that 08 with white strips? I seen one on cars. C o m it had some ecident. You have to make sure to check every detail on the car. I got my 2009 3 month ago i love it so far.

If you want to mod the car, go '05. If no mods intended, go '08.
