I hate to say it, but Dodge needs to stop making the Viper, as at these prices there is just no serious interest by new buyers and Dodge and the dealers have given into the perceived "market". How are Chevy dealers able to pop ZR-1s at $140k+ and these rare beauties can't get any respect???

Funny... Palmer is still trying to move more product, but when they were in the hot seat for crappy customer service and were looking to make ammends for past failures they were all about helping people who had previously had bad service with them. Then the Thread gets closed/locked and so does Palmers attempts at resolving past crappy service.

Way to reinforce what I thought about Palmer Dodge. Dad and I will be buying our future vipers elsewhere.

Woodhouse has one. It does look good but what I don't like is they paint the rear wing body color when they delete the black center band. I want to see that carbon fiber!!!

These prices (new and used) just through further creed to the fact the Viper will be completely dead at the end of 09'. It is a complete liquidation for the dealers at this point. Don't care what anyone says, only a completely 100% new and modern Viper will reaffirm the brand. Don't see it coming anytime soon, not even Tata will be able to save it.

If I was looking to get into a Viper, this would be the time because of the deals, but the hit on the depreciation of these GEN4 cars is pretty ridiculous. Last time I checked, the calendar just jumped over to 09'. Better off putting the money into a 1996/1997 Blue GTS or later (only 100 made) GTSR as these are the only ones holding their value well. No real drop at all. That is the way it should be.

The deals out there for new owners, but from an existing owner's point of view it is extremely diasappointing.

I have to agree that the price cuts, regardless of the economy are terrible. What will be the business case for keeping it alive. Put it down with respect.
