Hi everyone,
Have an '08 red/black striped vert. Love it....previously owned GTS blue/white striped coupe with 373 gears. Great acceleration. Just was wondering about 373 or 410 gears in '08 Viper. Thanks!

Do not stop - pick up the phone and call John B immediately and get you some gears... I have 3.33's in an 08 diff and OMG! So much more natural and smooth.

Thankx ViperGal.................................This is gonna surprise some of you:

Doris (here) has a 3:73 in her new 08 ACR ! [I had only put 3:73 in my Gen 1s, and even then I dont like the excess wheelspin.] We are still breaking it in, but I LOVE the quickness thro the gears, and the fact that you cruise at 1500rpm, right in the BURBLE ZONE for the exhasut. I usually recommend 3:55 depending on your roadcourse length. DONT DO 4:10 !!!!

2008 Owners should note: the new Visko-Lok diff has a completely diffrent way the axles are fitted, and it is VERY DIFFICULT to replace o8 gears without damage them.
Some EXPERTS here damaged the first couple sets they tried. Fact.
That is why we have a whole pallet of BRAND NEW 2008 Diffs, ready to swap you INSTALLED with the gear of your choice. UNITRAX PERFORMS ALL OUR MACHINGING AND SETUP...so yoy know it is DONE CORRECTLY. Our volume allows us to charge less....... Thank You

Once you have the correct tool to extract the stub shafts the gears are a straight foreword swap and we have done about a half dozen of these in the shop on ACR's. The quality of the gear set and install kit is the key to a smooth noise free install. You can ruin the shafts though if you do not use the correct tools. There were a couple issues with the shafts sticking to tight but they have been resolved so they should pop out without a ton of trouble. There is no machining to be done to just install the gears.
