Hey guys just wanted to post up my new 08 Venom Red Viper. Came with the silver stripes, H spoke wheels, Navigation, and car cover.
Although the car was beautiful as it is, I decided to add a few things to my liking.
It's got the Belanger Headers and Exhaust and a K&N Air filter to add a few more horses. It dyno'd at 568 at DC Performance Dyno Day. Two other stock Gen 4s dyno'd at 507 and 521. Id say thats a pretty good gain for the Belanger system. I dropped it with Moton Suspension with helper and keeper springs and Eibach Springs 700R/1000F.

APR Performance provided the GTC-500 Viper spec Wing, Custom Honeycomb Wind Splitter with Rods, and Custom Canards under sponsorship.

I Replaced the heavy stock rotors with Stoptech aluminum slotted 2 piece rotors, and added the e-brake relocation kit as well as the stainless steel brake lines.
I have a set of black aluminum SSRs with Kumho Ecsta V700 18s all the way around for the track. Since ViperDays is comin up next week here at Willow Springs, I put in an autoform roll bar and TeamTech 6 point harnesses. A short throw shifter with a viper logo were added also. The satellite antenna had to be relocated because the big wing blocked the signal. A 3M clear bra added protection to the front, sides, and rear. Since Im 6'2", Todd successfully installed the 1" seat lowering kit without disturbing the air bag computer module. Then for esthetics, I put in the carbon fiber dash panel console and tinted the tails and headlights with yellow fogs.
Ive had absolutely no problems so far with any of these modifications and am ecstatic with the car!
Anyone interested in the APR Performance products, please IM me or email me for a discounted deal.
No, its not an ACR, but hey I think it'll hold it's own!
Let me know what you guys think.

CREDITS:

All parts were obtained through John B at PartsRack except the APR Performance air products. All of the work was done by Todd at AC Performance.
A special thanks to Jon B, Todd and Mike at AC Performance, Dan Everetts and Michael "Rev" Burgoyne for their advice since this was my first Viper.

I have two opinions here. The wing and H wheels are horrible. My goodness that wing is huge.

BUT, the pics where you've put on the black SSR's, WOW! It looks absolutely bad ass. I still dont care for the wing, but it does look better in the pics with the SSR's.

So basically what Im saying is... One of the best looking Vipers Ive seen, minus the wing.

Color and stripes looks great. Aeor kit and Wing do not belong on a vert. I love the wing on ACR and when Prefix was doing them on 06 Coupes. But on a vert it looks horrible and out of place.

Thats my opinion, but if you like it, thats all that matters. I put wheels with black centers on my Viper. Some said they hated black wheels. Oh well, I love it. Our cars are our own pieces of art work. So good for you for making changes that you like.

Although many here may disagree, you have a ACR Vert and may even have a leg up on one if you have the same sticky tires.:headbang:

YAYYYYY!!! Estimated date of arrival?? AND, of course, PIX when available! Did you get the same color scheme as well as the aero package? Black wheels too?
Bet you'll be sleepless til YOUR car arrives~!!! ~juli

No matter how much I look at the ACR wing, I just can't get past the fact that I hate it. Additional down force or not, it screams rice grinder...

Otherwise, kick ass mods :)

To each his own....

LOATHE the wing, looks like something purchased at Autozone no matter how functional it may be. Just looks like a complete afterthought IMO.

But all that matters if YOU like it. :)

Its was actually purchased through APR Performance. The wing is made of 100% honey comb carbon fiber. And it's adjustable to 4 different angles for more or less downforce. It was designed with Computational Fluid Dynamics Testing. Definintely not an "autozone" wing. APR is the company that Mopar used on their viper that Sam Hubinette drove to win the drifting championship. APR installed a very similar wing on their Viper.
No matter how ugly some of you guys think it looks, it keeps my asz end down around the tight corners which is all that really matters. And I think it looks sick! Here's a pic of Sam 's Mopar viper with an APR wing and a close up of this beautiful masterpiece of a creation.

Bottom Line: I like it.

Take it easy the first few sessions Kobi. Until you get accustomed to the power and the down force, you'll be able to scare yourself at Willow Springs.

I'll likely run in blue due to my son and wife driving in green (I don't want to run my GTS in consecutive sessions on a hot weekend and I'm afraid if I run white I will have to do that).

Maybe we can do some lead / follow in the later sessions as you get more comfortable.

See you at the track,

Dan

I'll be out on Friday to pass out additional "California Car Dusters" to those making the trip up. Making a comparison to what Mr. Hubinette drives is a tall order. Good luck this weekend.

How fast are you taking corners on the street? The aero on my GTS race car is only efffective at 110+ MPH. Dan, are we missing the boat on some aero upgrades?

I really like the front and black wheels. IMO, it may look a little cleaner if you take the APR logos off the carbon fiber pieces.
