Now let me get this right: these are "car guys", correct?
They're supposed to know a thing or two about cars?

- 1st Gen. Camaro = 1967 thru 1969. At least they spelled it correctly.
- No Citroen "Karin". (200 points if you remember that one; McLaren sureashell did.)
- No Bugatti Veyron.
- No Thrust SSC.
- Porsche 911 is #2 ?!?!?!??!?!

That list FAILs.
Hard.

Viper and Ford GT should have been in the top 10.

They forgot:
Early - mid 90's BMW 8 Series
Sunbeam Tiger
Mazda RX-7
Toyota Supra

I knew there was a reason I dumped my supscription to Automobile years ago.

I knew a GTS should be on there, according to a guy I saw at the Outlets one day my GTS. Was "The baddest F***ing car on the planet!!"

Sorry....that list is just pure bull......

A Jaguar xk120 over an e Type? And both over the XKSS? Huh? And the Jag XJ220 did not even make the list?

And the Corvette the coolest? Come on.....

" We polled our staff and contributors, whose prejudices have resulted in a fascinating take of the nature of automotive coolness. We whittled their selections down to a highly subjective list of the 100 Coolest Cars"

Yawn... in case ya'll didn't know... car mag guys are some of the most boring people in the world.

I'm surprised they had the 69 SS 396 Chevelle and not the 1970 SS 454.

I don't think I saw the Testarossa either.

My top 3 would include the Viper GTS, E Type Jag and the 1967 Shelby GT500. Then the Hemi Cudas, Super Birds, Daytona Chargers and on to the 1970 454 LS* Chevelles.

The mid years vettes are extremely cool but way overrated.

I remember a national "car rag" poll about 10 years ago entitled "Top 10 cars of the 20th century", and the GTS made it in the top 5 (#2 or #3 but can't remember for sure). And it's #65 on this list!! These guys must have been smoking their socks!

Less than 15 posts here and you guys have already whooped up on the "professional writers".

Props to PatentLaw for bringing up the XJ-220.

I don't think I saw this on the list... A bit of a Chick car but sorta like a Dino for the masses at the time... A certain cool factor..
