Just get out and drive your snake, the smiles and enjoyment make the bullshyt go away....
when the bowtie guys figure out there is nothing else they can do with there Z06 for hp gain, then they will realize they should of bought a Viper, we lack a little from the factory, but that is it, the Viper platform will allways be king, and what car guy does not like moding there car in some way...
I say, bring em on, and lets have some fun....

its ok I honestly believe the tests are fixed.
too much of a diff beteween tests and as far as most of the tests go the new coupe is slower then the SRT 10 and the z06 goes from a 4.3 0 - 60 ALL THE WAY down to a 3.4 (beating the ford GT) now thats a jump.

I know the times are all screwed up but the Viper is always posting the worst time. MT states " As speeds increase the Corvette's advantage widens. To hit 150 mph, th Viper needs 20.0 sec, the Z06 17.9. What a shame. Things like thi normally do not bother me if it was comming from a Lambo or Ferrari, but a vet

Just remember competion is a good thing and that there is ALWAYS someone faster. Who cares if the Vette is faster, does that make your Viper any less of a car? As far as getting beat by a lesser car, do you think a Ferrari or a Lambo owner gives a sh*! if a Viper is faster? Of course not he's driving a Ferrai while the other is only guy is in a Viper. So why care if/when a Vette beats you?

It's a BIG HOAX GM paid off ALL the magazines, the New Z06 really runs 15's in the 1/4.

how else do you explain such a huge diff in 0 - 60 and 1/4 mile times for the z06??? 4.3 to 3.4?? like i said before thats an evo to a saleen S7.
Also the crappy times for the coupe?? its getting slower times then the SRT/10 how is that possible?? did D.C. detune it? or ADD weight?? how could it be slower? how do you explain that one as well??

While I agree Who Gives a SH*! go out and enjoy your car , you could not be more WRONG about the Z06 being at the HP limit. Dyno tests reveal 45RWHP with a set of headers alone, one look at them and you'll understand. Long tubes and a beefier cam and you're looking at 525RWHP on a stock headed engine.

4.3 is what a regular plain jane Corvette runs 0-60. Add 100 hp (that is a 25% increase in power), better meats and lighter weight and 3.4 seems much more realistic.
Yes the coupe weighs more than the SRT-10. But it will be a much better track car than the SRT-10 for the added stiffness it gives.
Besides, these times are NOT written in stone, they are magazine times. Noone is going to get the same performance every time. They are only general performance numbers, rough estimates based on a few runs.
I also love the magazine quote about the price difference, the Z06 being less. But what they don't tell you is that Vipers are selling for ~$20k less than invoice and Z06's are selling for $20-30k over invoice, that's reality. That argument now falls in the Vipers favor and changes the whole price point argument. I know this may be no solice to some, but in 2 cars that are essentially performance equals, I'll take the Viper (SRT-10 convertible), save myself some money and have the much more rare car and the clear head turner.
If SRT-10 owners worry about losing by a car length or 2 in the 1/4, just put on a supercharger. $7800 if you do the work yourself, $10300k installed and you don't have to worry anymore. Done. Now was that so hard.

1st vid of the car racing (that I know of) and it blows its brand new motor, thats gotta get some car sales lined up for sure.
