1996 GTS Info

Hi Guys

Just looking for things to look for with the 96 GTS vipers.

Some of the stuff I have heard is

1.the engine blocks being can leak oil.

2.issues with the wheels??

3. Also did the 96 have the 3M clear stickers applied at the bottoms corners of the fascia as like the rest of the Gen 2's

Anything else would be great.

I'm sure there are guys with much more knowledge than me, but this is what I know.

I don't think the engine block is known to leak oil, but it is known to have a pourous oil pan.

The wheels have been known to crack.

I don't there there was any 3M clear sticker applied to the Gen 2 from factory. I could be wrong, but have never heard of it.

The frame recall was for those that Tracked their cars or raced them. When this was
announced everyone decided that they need the recall done.

the 3 M was on the front and back of side sills just on the edge !
