1996 GTS on E-Bay with only 3,800 Miles, $59.9K, Good Deal?

recall 998 wan NOT done. looks like it needs a cleaning, tires, and the fluids changed. 96/97 are up in value and this car is a little strong but not outrageous. looks like a honest car from what i can tell.

The car in the link looks pretty good. 22k miles with current bid at $39,100. Reserve is not met though, and with that it seems about average price to high.

Thats because the original car listed at 59,900 sold and ebay is suggesting another similar car

You could still get the 998 recall done if the owner really wanted to. However, it would seem a bit strange to purchase a 23 year old car with ~4000 miles to drive hard enough that you needed the 998 recall. I'd expect it will be put into someone's private collection. The price sure seems reasonable for a B/W '96 with that mileage.

Why do people constantly want to tell other people how much a Viper they don't own and don't ever plan to own is NOT worth? Cognitive dissonance perhaps? The car sold so yes, this car was worth $59K.

Agreed. I cant get over owners insisting these cars are worthless. Prices are on the rise. Fyi, 56k is what I paid for my 96 gts with the same mileage two years ago, and I have a buddy who just paid 54k last week for an extremely clean 97 with 12k miles. Btw, I did plenty of shopping before I pulled the trigger. Extremely clean, stock gts cars are hard to find...

Buyer actually paid $55K with the buyer's premium and as shown on the BJ site. This car has been heavily modded which appeals to some and not to others. I agree it looks like a good buy and I'm sure the buyer is very happy.

Remember in the 70s you could not give away a used Corvette from the 60s just wait and see what will happen to the price of Vipers, they made thousands of Corvettes each year, not so many Vipers. In years to come you can look back and say I had one of those cars and only paid 60k for it, no one will believe you.

Agree with Steve e. I bought a '61 Corvette in 1967 for $1500 and sold it a year later for $1000. Was offered $900 and turned it down. $100.00 was a lot of money back then. Can't compare a 1962 Corvette with a 1992 Viper in value...the Corvette is 30 years older. Age will increase the value of any Viper in my opinion.
