Today I removed the side sills on my 1998 RT/10 and found that the heat shields are not attached. They appear to have been bonded to the inside of the side sill at one time, but now are just sitting inside the sill loose. Any idea how the heat shield should be reattached or re-bonded to the side sill ? Thanks.

It gets pretty hot in there. Any product will get cooked over 20-25 years. The G1 was riveted in, but caused other issues. Try getting a bottle of Lexel from Lowes. Great shit sticks good.

I have the exact same car. When I replaced the cats with free flow cats, I double wrapped the cats with a asbestos type material. My leg can feel the difference when I get out. :)
