made it out to Milan Dragway last nite the SRT was a big hit.

best reaction time .499 oops almost best
.538
.604

best 60 ft 2.052

low E/T 12.855

highest speed 115.67

so this was my first time on the track(strip). I beat a spectre works supercharged C5. A couple of different mustangs, and hot rods, along w/ an NSX(i love rice). lots of motorcycles in the low 10's one in the high 9's! Even an old slingshot dragster. The SRT did very well especially on street tires, a lot of the cars i ran against were running drag radials or racing slicks(Mickey Thompson E/T's). I had a lot of fun dont think i am in such a hurry to try it again, i like the road racing much better. So how did i do for a first try? i have no frame of reference to compare, i know the car had much more in it, maybe not w/ me driving. most people were amazed that a stock car on street tires did so well.

Do you have the valve issue? The mile per hour is like the gen 1 vipers. that car should be around 120mph my stock 02 was at 119mph.Even with a high 60' time the mph does not change.

those bests were not all on the same run. I have Never drag raced before, my car is not supposed to have the valve issue(at least thats what they say). i really should dyno my car to check the hp. i did too much spinning of the tires on take off a few times. my best ET's were some of my slowest reaction times!

Mike, the reaction time is not included in the et. Your 60 ft time of 2 seconds is not bad. With experience you should be able to get it down to 1.8 or so. But the mph does seem low. Did you powershift (fast shift with throttle to the floor) or did you do a lift foot shift? Also, did you shift into 4th or keep it in third? Sounds like a barrage of questions eh?

I was supposed to go to Milan today but decided not to drive through the rain to get there. Oh well. I do have a Gtech comp pro and need to go out and make some runs with it. What engine speed did you shift at?

i did not shift at full throttle i think i lifted off gas a little. never shifted into fourth. i followed the shift light on the tach for the most part hit rev(fun) limiter once or twice.

Will have to run side by side to see what the old valve job provided. You going to the Royal Oak event tomorrow?

Sounds pretty good to me! I know you will do better, also.

Vic and I also did our first drag racing runs last weekend (at different tracks), and it's definitely a learning experience.

Your reaction times are great, and your best 60' times are good for street tires. The rest all takes some practice to master.

You should dyno your car just to be sure that everything is working well. It's good to get a baseline dyno to have as a reference point to see the actual gains made by any future modifications.
