Is this a Dodge dealer? Or a high-end used dealer? Have someone "run the vin #" at any friendly Dodge dealer where you will service the car, to be sure of documented warranty repairs, if any. Get a statement from the selling dealer that there has been NO collision or comprehensive damage repairs to the car. NOT a statement that sez 'as-is-where-is', or 'no known damage'. NOT EVER DAMAGED. If they back off, ask them to locate the original owner for you, and talk to them. failing that, let us find an "inspector" for you.
Read the owners manual...in seat pocket behind driver's seat.
Plan on a LOT of attention - sometimes unnerving- on the ride home and forever. Folks tailgate for closer looks. They cruise in your blind spots. They pace alongside.
The first time you fuel up, be careful w/ the fuel nozzle. Unlikely that you will be able to fill on automatic, past the first "click" stop. Pull out too far, and nick the paint.
Be careful with the throttle in your "novice" period. Roll-on smoothe and slow. NEVER MASH the throttle unless you are fully familiarized with the Viper, and pointed in a straight line.
Call Bill P {or your servicing dealer) and buy an extended warranty. DO THIS. The selling dealer may be more -shall we say - SYMPATHETIC to you later on if you buy the warranty from them. And, DONT DRIVE IN GARLIC FIELDS! (makes car stinky)
Get a Viper Bikini Cockpit Cover because both tops can be a pain. {I've got em at PartsRack for $89...no tax.) If you want to improve the exhaust, HP, or handling of your baby, please call me..... Or any other info you want. CONGRATS.
