Was out for a ride today and had two different people wanting a piece the SRT bad, so I took them out. The first was a Z06(405), no problem not even close took him a few times from a stop and from roll. The second was beautiful white SL55 AMG, [******] is that gorgeous car if it had a manual trans. i'd probably buy one. I didnt even have to try that had to put him down, [******] if that thing weighed a few hundred pounds less(400-500 would be better) it might have had a chance. Seems like everyone wanted some today, even some ricers no worthy opposition today.

you are much faster than an sl55? hmm... you either have a ringer or or.. i dont know- but the sl55 race should have been very very close- especially over 100 - you should not have been able to pull him at all..

The SL55 is a formidible car, but it's 0-60 is around 4.7 seconds, and 0-100 in 10.3, as opposed to 3.9 to 60, and 8.3 to 100 with the SRT-10 Viper. With that kind of lead, it would be tough (and likely not possible) to catch the SRT-10 Viper.
The extra 1000lbs that it has to carry around takes it's toll.

With the stock '02 Z06 right in the middle at 0-60 in 4.2, and 0-100 in around 9.4 seconds.

This post is in no relation to AJ's, and is not a flame on him. This is just my observation from normal driving of my hatchback, to driving the Viper.

What I love about other car owners, whether it be Mercedes SL55 to souped up Civics, is most from experience do not do their research. Although I can understand the rest just want to see what their car can do in comparison (not necessarily an all out "race", or to just see what the other car (Viper) can do in comparison to their car.
