I'm compiling the history of my 2000 GTS ACR (I'm the 3rd owner) , so posting in the hope that I can get some additional help......

- 2000 GTS ACR
- Snake 530 Mod: performed by Fitzgerald Motorsports in Vermont
* 3:55 Gears
* Roller Rockers
* Belanger Headers
* Engine Controller
- Steel Metal Gray
- No badges (Viper/ GTS / ACR)
- Factory painted black stripes

The Snake 530 mod was performed as dealer modification (Fitzgerald).
I've confirmed (verbally) that "No Badges" custom option.

The car's car's first owner lived in Northern California, 2nd owner in Scottsdale Ariziona.

So Question:
Did Dodge/Conner Avenue offered Steel Metal wth Factory Black Stripes as a custom option?
Thanks for the help!! Picts posted....

Nice ride. Actually, for your records, Dan Fitzgerald's dealership was in Laconia, NH...and, they did indeed modify many Vipers (remember the Shelby edition??).

By my memory, Steel Gray came either plain or with silver stripes.

Don't think that black stripes on steel gray are factory (ie prefix). Probably a dealer add on with the other mods.

@ Cobarken: Thanks for the info. Yes, that is what I understand (ie: painted Black Stripes were a Dealer modification). Just nice to hear a confirmation. Would love to someday get docs....
@ vpower01: This is the car and color combo I search far and wide for (Gen II GTS ACR in Steel Metal, no badges and painted Black Stripes).

That color is called "Viper Steel Gray Pearl Coat", not Steel Metal.

I almost purchased that car from the 2nd owner last February. Car looks good! How do you like it power wise? I remember he supposedly had some very nice heads put on that car

Thanks for the paint color spec...

@invasivore: Not sure about the heads, so trying to get in touch with the 2nd owner to get some info. It has a non-stock cam though.
But the car is awesome. Really happy with it. Mint and just turned 14k miles.

Had a Dyno run on it last month:

Rear Wheels:
440 rwhp @ 5400 rpm
480 lb-ft rwtq @ 4250 rpm

Rough Estimate: Flywheel (per calculation from forum posts)
520 bhp @ 5400 rpm
570 lb-ft tq @ 4250 rpm

Those numbers sound a bit low for a heads and cam car..........

Yeah I agree.

I only have 1.7rr's ... air intake ... 3" exhaust with high flow cats ... and a tune , and I put down a tad bit more than that ---

Yea, I'll probably get another dyno run as the car looked to be slipping on the machine during the run. Will run another within the next few weeks. But as the car was purcased from a dealership (Phoenix-Cadillac/GM) I wasn't able to yet confirm the cam or head work. After I get to talk with the 2nd owner I'll be able to (confirm or not).

But with Belanger and tubes I'd think those numbers make sense for rwhp (bhp at approx 520).

FYI: Conner Avenue's (Jodi) initial assessment is that the 'no badge' and painted black stripes were dealer modifications (Fitzgerald Motorsports). They're just confirming that for me now. Ya know... I find it pretty awesome that the people at Conner Avenue are available to look into it.

Did you have the VIN checked to confirm the ACR option group? I've had two of these Steel Grey ACR"s , I can probably answer any specific questions you might have. Great looking car.

Here you go..............

Your car is indeed an ACR that originally had silver stripes and was delivered in Atlanta.......

Paste your VIN into the demo area

Your link shows 530 Torque ... 508 Horsepower with that package ... I was thinking 530 was the HP number ---

Your car based on the build date should have been equipped with the Dynamic coil over package and not the Koni. The Koni equipped cars came with the Koni 2812 Race Damper and Hyperco springs.

Camfab.... thanks, I owe ya. That helps a lot. As you're in SoCal we gotta to get together someday (over some beers).
So yea, the painted black stripes and 'no badge' option look like they were part of the initial dealer mods (from Fitzgerald).

@alwayscode390: I took those numbers as bhp numbers based on the mods specs, probably not from a dyno. That's why I wanted an accurate dyno of rwhp. But I just want to run another dyno to make sure the last one was accurate.

Oh man... having a Viper is like having another kid. I love it....

Just wanted to say THANKS to this forum as through it I was able to find the original Conner Ave build info and (by a stroke of luck) was able to track down the Viper tech in Phoenix (Eddie), who performed the engine mods in Nov 2007 (ie: ported/polished heads, 708 cam, PCM) and serviced it through June 2010. Great guy, spent time talking with him today. Happy he was the one who did the work.
