Went to the Dyno last week and thought I would post the numbers.

I have a 2000 GTS with PBJ Cold Air Intake, 2 1/2" IN 3" OUT High flow Cats, 3" B&B Cat-Back exhaust, and the SCT PCM flash from ROE. The runs were done on 91.

I was quite happy with numbers, made 3 runs, first was about 427hp and the last 2 were within 1hp of each other; 437hp & 438hp respectively.

I am hoping to do the heads and cam, forged internals etc this winter, hopefully will be able to make around 575hp.

Sounds like a tight motor. Just do heads and cam if your going N/A. Contrary to popular lore the non forged Vipers make great power when N/A. You can thank tighter clearances, lighter piston/rod packages and longer rods for that.

What Camfab said, absolutely no need to do anything to the bottom end if your doing just heads/cam. All you will accomplish is to spend lots of your hard earned money.

That's good to know, Thanks. From what I had read and seen, most of the n/a builds on the later model years, guys had been going forged. Thanks for the tip!

nice, i agree with Russ&Cam. There are 00-02 vipers running low boost ROE superchargers with stock internals with no prob. I dont see any reason to change pistons with a moderate NA motor, but call one of our viper tuners to disscus if your concerned.
Like Cam said, the tighter clearances are a plus.

Keep us posted on your progress and make sure to use the Same dyno when comparing.
