2000 side sills

I am replacing the sills on my 2000 GTS.
The part # for them had changed,they are suposed to be an "up-graded" part.
Do anyone have an idea what is/are the upgrade/change?

By the way,what a ripp-off the price is,my Jeep dealer is doing that under waranty but dealer cost on it is $ 2500 EACH,full retail is $ 3400 and the dealer make 25% mark-up on warranty parts.
On top of that you still need to spend at least $500 to paint them.

You know, I took of my 01s and saw a light coating of black paint under the insulation -- could this be VHT1500??? I don't remember seeing it on the 2000. Maybe this is the change that is being put on your new side sills.

I also noticed the black paint but don't remember if my 2000 has it or not,(even after removing my sills 3 time!!!!!!!!)
