Finally got around to installing these, they have been sitting in my closet for over a month now waiting to be installed.

Special thanks to Chuck Tator for answering a lot of my questions.
Special thanks to Greg Good for helping me out with the pushrod decision and giving me better advice on how many turns to tighten the pushrods.
And special thanks to Arrow Racing and Harland Sharp for the great prices on roller rockers and pushrods.

I took photos of each step of the install if someone wants me to write up a DIY thread. There are a couple in the illustrated upgrades section but none with photos.

In the end they turned out really well. I can hear the valve train more but nothing obnoxious. I never had a lot of noise when I first started with the new rockers but I think I already pumped up the pushrods with the starter tool. The car definitely has a deeper rumble to it and sounds as if it has a heavier cam. I have not test drove it yet but the install is done and I idled it and revved for about 10 minutes to get everything lubed up.

Nice! One of the (many) things on my list of "to dos". The 1.7 HS rockers do impact lift a bit and that accounts for the lumpier sound at idle...especially if you have the 708 cam which is already pretty lumpy!

The problem I see with engine mods, is that they all seem to be linked and one can lead to another - e.g., do the rockers and pushrods....oh, but then, do you want to do high performance springs and retainers, but then do you change the rocker arm studs for higher strength.....hmmmmm, might as well just get the heads done by Greg... :) Then, if you don't already have headers, you need to add a good set of headers to help the motor get rid of that exhaust....and so on......

No, I don't count sheep at night when I can't sleep...I just go over the possible mods I can do to my car! :D

KNG, maybe you can post a before/after sound clip of exhaust at idle?

As usual, good work on the part of KNG!

Thanks!

For those asking about the writeup I will do one and post the link in here. The job was extrememly simple.

If you add roller rockers you need to upgrade your pushrods. The extra lift your getting from them puts too much stress on the already flimsy OEM pushrods. Arrow racing has the best prices for them, BY FAR, and ships them very fast. There is no reason to upgrade your valve springs unless your getting your heads done. I was going to change my valve springs and Greg talked me out of it. You don't question the man.

I put rockers and pushrods on my car to lower some of the boost creep that I have. I still have the stock 2001 cam in the car. I won't put a new cam in it since you have to pull the heads and I don't want to get that involved in the car up here in RI.

I can post exhaust sounds but it will be a while. I keep my car in a storage and I won't visit the car until January sometime. As anyone locally can attest to my car is nicely toned, not too loud at idle and is a complete monster at WOT. Keep in mind my car is Roe supercharged so your exhaust will not sound anything like mine unless you have a Roe setup. I run Roe 5lb, M&M headers, cat delete, Corsa 3 inch exhaust, HS rockers.
